Mystery man could be Toby Johnson. Said he's been talking with UGA coaches this morning. He's not signing til the 19th, but we still appear to be in it. I thought we pulled his scholly, but apparently something changed.

Now, I'm not gonna get my hopes up by any means, especially after the last week, but it looks like we aren't completely out of it.

If Toby doesn't commit till the 19th, then doesn't seem like Kipp would say it's a signing day surprise. Of course, anything would be good news.

Fwiw, the guys who sign with us really want to be Dawgs,so these other 5 stars can take their services for hire and go give their 3/4 effort to somebody else. Make no mistake, UGA will be in the national championship this year, and the future is very bright.

My guess is Kamara. I have a feeling that he was "misled" by Saban as to what Alabama was going to do about Jones and Tenpenny. I hope he isnt talking about Crowder, as we were already in contention and would not be a surprise.

I thought the general consensus on Crowder was that we gave that up a long time ago?

so if they don't commit to UGA they are automatically labled half asses and give 3/4 effort? shite, i'll take those half asses with shite effort that bama keeps getting and winning titles with.

I was agreeing with FireWind. What I mean is if their heart isn't at UGA wouldn't you rather them go somewhere else that they would like to be? Not be here and give shite effort that you could get from a kid less talented but isn't a mindfrick for the locker room. Do you see where I'm headed or should I paint you a picture?

I think it would absolutely be a surprise if Crowder picked us.

Absolutely.

Actually, DGD, I don't buy it either, but I will say that there are guys that are all about the "G" and not so much about the me. That I do buy, and sometimes that's all it takes for a lower "star" player to outshine a higher rated player.

Having said that, I would not have minded a 6-6, 310 lb. tackle from Florida with gorilla (#noracist)arms and excellent knee bend with stellar body lean.

Grantham about adding another DL: "It could be. I think it’s going to come down to discussion between Chris and myself and how we want to move forward with that because if you take one now, then it’s going to count for next year, too. So I think that’s yet to be determined. We’ll just have to see how it plays out over the next little bit and do what’s best for us."

Don't you hope so Fin? We have gotten closer each of the past two years and surprised a lot of folks, 2013 is the charm!

This ^^^^^

If we have to "convince" them to come to UGA, then I promise you, the effort won't be there. The most successful athletes are ones who give 100%, not the drama train that Tunsil is about to bring to Ole Miss. Looking back, it was obvious that Adams really didn't WANT to come to Athens, he had other plans in his head from day one. The point is, you can't make a recruit love your school, they either love it and wanna be there, or they don't, simple as that. If they get paid, they still don't give 100%, cause then it's not about the desire to win anymore, it's "what have you done for me lately"? UGA will be just fine with the guys we sign, and we will win one, if not more, national championships in football over the next few years.
