Our running backs have five 20+yard running plays this season. Nate Frazier hasn't had one since August.
Back in 2017, our running backs had 44 of them.
(YES, I'm aware of who is running the ball for us this season compared to 2017 and that we had a fifth-string freshman playing in the second half of the Tennessee game this year as opposed to Chubb, Michel, Swift and even Holyfield)

What's your personal opinion?

My personal opinion is that this has already been the weirdest season in a long time.

In what way? In your opinion.

I'm asking politely, in a non-commanding non-monkey trainer way. What is your opinion? Just one human asking another human a question. On a discussion board, on a topic you started, that I assume you have opinions about.

Our run game has not been what it has been. We have always relied on a stable of great backs but this year has been one of the worst. Even one of the announcers said, UGA is a pass first offense.

It's none of your business what I think.

I believe what you mean to imply is that it is because of…him. Is that correct?

OK, I'll go away then. I'm sorry to have bothered you.

Mine is our OL isn’t as good at executing their assignments and creating space. We all know our RBs are capable but not when they’re getting clipped early…especially Frazier who runs pretty light footed….fast but easy to trip up.

Talent level at RB in general has fallen off over the last few years, not just at Georgia. IMO, we're starting to see the trickle down effects of what's happening with RB contracts in the NFL.

Pittman was followed by Matt Luke and both were great OL coaches for UGA. Luke is OL coach at Clemson and the RB Mafah has 1100 yards this season. Searles replaced Luke in Feb, 2022. That year our total rushing yards actually increased from 2868 (2021) to 3068 (2022) . Bobo took over as OC in 2023. That year our rushing yardage dropped to 2677: over 400 yards. This year we have rushed for 1539. That's over 1000 less yards than the previous year and 1500 less than 2 years ago or roughly half. That's not small potatoes. Say what you want, but the timing coincides with Bobo being named OC......and the responsibility (no matter how your parse it out) falls at his feet.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not to their own facts. Before any throw the "injury" card. Both championship years saw extensive injuries to the RB room.

But neither saw this amount of injuries to the oline. It's been a revolving door all year. I believe the problem is the line more than the backs. Really hard for a back to look good when he's constantly hit or making moves at or behind the line of scrimmage
