I was listening to the podcast Dawgnation Daily and Brandon Adams started talking about how great of a job Pittman has done so far in the recruiting aspect for UGA. And I agree. He's definitely earning his salary and now I see why Arkansas tried so hard to keep him around. He very well maybe the most valuable position Coach we have on staff. But IMO James Coley as the WR Coach is one of the most important position coach. We need him to really elevate our WR corps and get more out of them this season. Malcolm Mitchell was the go to guy and we are going to have a tough time replacing him. It's no secret our passing game the past two seasons has been horrible and I know Coley doesn't have a ton of talent to work with, but we really need him to coach up guys like Godwin, McKenzie, Davis, Stanley, Chigbu, Ridley and whoever else u think may contribute. Especially with a young QB having a strong group of WRs that knows how to make plays will take the pressure off Eason or Lambert if that's the case.

So what do y'all think? Excluding Kirby, Chaney, and Tucker, what Coach is the most important to our team this season?

Pittman, the OL makes everything go opening holes for the backs and keeps the QB upright will make the WRs look better.

*says the high school OL coach* hehe

Pittman has his work cut out for him. I'm so glad he's on our side. They also had us as the shortest and lightest oline in the SEC. I'm not saying bigger is the best but that's concerning when u think that Vandy Kentucky and Misdouri have more bulk and size up front compared to us.

Definitely Pittman. Second to that would be Rocker. It all begins and ends on the line imo. I honestly don't think our wr corp is that depleted. My break out candidate if the year is Jayson Stanley and I think Chigbu and Godwin are going to be good as well. Sprinkle in Javon Wimms and I think we have some play makers.

But I do hope Coley starts to bring in more studs. If we close with Blount, Sanders, Webb, and Holloman then that will be one of the better wr recruiting classes for is in recent memory.

It better be Pittman. We're paying him more than some SEC offensive coordinators get paid.

You can't make an argument for anyone besides Pittman because of how important the OLine is. Better coached, more talented OLine with tailbacks like ours gives potential for long, clock-eating drives that keep our defense off the field and wears down the opponents defense.

So excluding Pittman, I'm going to go with Beamer. Getting our talented tight ends ready this year along with getting an edge on special teams will be very important if we want any chance at winning the East.

I'm excited about getting the TEs involved more this season but I want them to show us. Schotty said the same stuff last season and it never really materialized like we wanted it to

A couple of years ago we were the biggest or second biggest O line in football (college and NFL) and didn't win shite. You need good players not big players.
