Doesn't matter to me anymore bc I couldn't smoke even if it was legal.

Bastards should've legalized it years ago.

It won't matter for most responsible working people because most employers don't want pot heads working for them any more than they want alcoholics. I will say this though, I can easily see it being a blessing for cancer patients to lessen the nausea associated with chemo therapy, etc.

I believe this as well. Not to mention glaucoma, hiv, certain autoimmune disorders, and demyelinating diseases.

Mother in-law has stage 4 cancer and her problem is not eating. When she is sick, she loses her appetite. They stay nauseated, but the loss of appetite makes me agree that pot would be a miracle drug here. It's pretty dumb that people who actually "need" to use an herb that helps with cancer, can't use something grown on God's green earth, because Uncle Sam says so.

Maybe. I think most do the drug testing b/c of the tax credits they receive. Where I work, the boss of our company in GA, has like a 50s workshop policy, which is, if you aint fricked up at work and messing up our profits, who gives a shite. They hire a bunch of ex felony's and stuff, but really people deserve a 2nd or 3rd chance. They just did a drug test to keep the tax credits, and they did a random test and pulled the last name of employees with letter "c". Out of them, 2 of 9 passed and none of the ppl who failed got fired or suspended or nothing. Business went on. This is a company with 50-75 ppl in Georgia, who does contract work for the AFB. Most of the people who work here has done drugs and definitely smoke weed. Hardly anybody is sober at work (including caffeine), and yet we are under cutting companies like Boeing, by half of what they were quoted on making stuff for the AFB.

What you do on your off time or even work time, doesn't matter as long as you produce. Also where I work, if you frick up with shite, people could easily die. The worst injury since I've been there (2yrs), was when a guy broke his collar bone, but that was when he got in a fight with his brother. Again, just b/c you do drugs, doesn't mean you can't produce a good product. A lot of people you know and think are sober, might be on some drug (caffeine, pills, weed, alcohol, etc)

Hell our supervisor, is a uga grad and played TE (dont know how much he actually played), and our boss is a A&M grade. The boss is an alcoholic and our supervisor is on that dank. And our shite gets done, and we are about to get another contract here shortly.

My MIL has Stave 4 lung cancer, as well. They were able to treat it for 3 years with a pill called Tarceva, but eventually it stops working for everyone. They have her on traditional chemo now, and the loss of appetite can be devastating. There's a synthetic-THC element in a drug called Marinol that's in pill form that has been the only thing that has helped.

weed cures kids seizures
Its just one example. Its a medicine and the greatest plant on earth. I seriously challenge someone to come up with a plant that is better for humanity. There is none, if there is tell me. But I know you can't!!!

I'd like to find out about these tax credits...

Between my 2 companies I have 23 employees. 10 of us have to maintain CDL licenses & all of us (except for 4 office employees) have to have an OSHA forklift certification. So right off the bat OSHA & DOT mandates random yearly testing. Then on top of that DOT regs. & my Insurance Companies require a drug test within 24 hours of any type of accident involving my delivery/pickup trucks or forklifts which involve personal injury or property damage to my or someone elses assets...

Rest assured there no tax breaks for drug testing employees...

I guess thats the thing. None of the employees are required to be certified at what we do. It helps with pay, but is not a requirement or even encouraged in getting once hired. We get good health benefits, 401k etc but our pay may be a few dollars less than other places who require certification. But that allows people to get their foot into the door, who otherwise may not get the opportunity b/c of lack of experience or certification.

I dont know of the tax credits, but the boss's son works there and he kept saying that was what the drug tests were about b/c his friend was sweating them, which he ended up failing anyways haha. It really seemed like that is what it was about, b/c nothing ever happened to anyone who failed it.

I hope this happens, the taxes alone are worth it. A Single dispensary can make 22 million per year, and they have to operate as a non-profit organization, if we funnel that money directly into the school systems it will make a world of difference. Anyone know how many dispensaries are in Ca., Co.? Times that by 20 mil and that's the money the states can have. Does nothing but benefit us as a whole. You don't have to use it to support it. The positives out weigh the negatives 20 fold.

I think you need to check your facts again. I just saw where drug test are required for transportation services, so thats why your company gets none. Like I said, our company gets tax breaks or moved to a different bracket or something for doing drug tests.

Just saw that drug testing can provide worker comp discounts, which actually is why we got drug tested b/c some people were faking workers comp.

just depends on your employer. I know some places still test for alcohol. It seems like drug tests are designed for pot use, since it can stay in your system from weeks to months, even though you haven't smoked in weeks or months. Pretty much all other drugs stay a few days to a week in your system. They should get rid of the drug test period
