Reckless could also mean not using a turn signal… but seriously… these driving violations leading to arrests are a lingering black cloud that won’t go away.

I won’t be surprised if Kirby eventually just boots someone to send a message. It’s not hard. The reckless could be a lot of things but speeding maximum limit could sure be construed as racing pretty easily. It’s gotta stop somewhere. Disappointed in it being MRJ. He’s such a productive worker bee and DGD.

Agreed, although I highly doubt he’s going to do it with MRJS

Are there more details, like what road, how fast, what kind of car?
And did Marc Weiszcer break this news?

At some point, Kirby has to send a message on this stuff.

Why? Not like he is some super star. He needs to be kicked off the team.

I bet it is more than internal punishment.

How stupid do you have to be to drive like that this offseason? Obviously never a good idea, but holy hell. Maybe Kirby can stealthily have governors installed on all of their cars.

I'm kind of tired of the fan reaction to this to be honest.
1) these kids are 19-21 years old and driving hemi's.
2) give a kid money and this is what you get.
Honestly. Who here hasn't had a moving violation? Did you have 400-700 horsepower at the time?
People are acting shocked and in disbelief.
I have to say... get used to it. This is college football. These will always be kids. There will be a new freshman class next year. And the year after. This is never going away.

Um, he's our returning X receiver.

Now you're being silly.

Is there a link to the police report with more details?

What do you expect people to say after a repeated pattern of activity this offseason? This is not an isolated incident and all it is doing is keeping attention on a whole lot of negative shite going on at UGA ever since they got back from LA.
The governor suggestion was obviously a joke, but Kirby is going to get really tired of answering a lot of unpleasant questions about this pattern of moronic driving happening on his watch.

Pretty sure I read it was a zero tolerance policy going forward after the Willock tragedy. Kirby has to keep his word or this culture he built means nothing. Kick him off the team or pull his scholarship and "influence" his NIL folks to pull his funds.

I’ve been told that Kirby Smart has been all over his team about not driving during recklessly or under the influence their upcoming spring break. In the past, UGA has helped guys out with parking/driving infractions. Smart has made it clear that any player who gets in trouble behind the wheel of a car will not receive help from the program. There is a zero tolerance policy in place. Kirby has taken what happened to heart and has been affected by the loss of Willock and LeCroy. He is being a stickler about anything related to player safety.

Since the tragedy, there has only been one other incident of street racing.
The "second" incident was an arrest for street racing that occurred before the January tragedy, but because the arrest came later, people think it happened after.
This Rosemy thing would be the "third" incident, but he wasn't charged with street racing or DUI, just speeding.
Dawgs need to pump the brakes, players and fans. Let's see the police report to find out what exactly MRJ violated here. There's no DUI or late night shite associated with this one, so far.

Are we handing out hellcats like bama or are they buying them with NIL money?
