3 games into the season we had what, 21-22 freshman with playing time as I remember, shouldn't some of this have been a red flag then and what part has this freshman influx of playing time attributed into what we are seeing now?
Which means the recruiters failed to provide sufficient depth, so guess who that falls on? (Hint: they're both "great recruiters".)

The offense would be still be effective with Bobo. Good OCs Are gonna good OC. Spurrier made a living off of utilizing average college QBs. Bobo was able to do the same. Schotty has been completely and utterly unremarkable every place he's been. This was a terrible, out of left field hire and we're paying the piper for it.

I disagree. We saw bobo without elite talent and it wasn't pretty, and The talent now as bad as it's ever been in the richt era.

We did, but Bobo without elite talent still scored points, still had effective QB play, still gave us a chance. I can respect what your saying and can see your point but I just see it differently.

I follow recruiting pretty closely and besides dominant OLmen im not sure that is a valid point. We have taken guys away from other programs and have gotten guys that were wanted badly by others as well. We just arent utilizing or coaching them up worth a crap when they get here. Im still not understanding why we moved our awesome RBs coach and recruiter of the year to WRs? Why change something that worked? Thats the kind of thing ive been having a hard time with. I dont know if Brown has been a good addition to the staff. Im not sure if its the RBs or the Linemen that deserve blame for the lack of ground game. Some of the hires and moves have been a little questionable but the talent is definitely there. I think that is the biggest gripe most people have..we have tons of talent but produce lack-luster results consistently. It comes down to the coaches then.

Come on, Bobo with elite talent struggled to score points vs Uf.

Where is the talent? No Qb on the roster. No rt on the roster. Poor Wr depth when Reggie Davis is your #3 guy. 2 star Rb as our backup.

You said it would be better and that may be. It would not be effective to win. A big difference.

Well, all the folks that wanted Murray/Mason benched and Ramsey on the field are mighty quiet these days.

Gotta love the program haters. Got what they deserved.

I agree. Richt is a scrub at recruiting. With the self imposed limits Richt puts on this team, to never being able to recruit depth that is needed to keep both offensive and defensive units somewhat stocked up to keep from having teams with big holes on both sides of the ball year in and year out.
Should we have to play 21-22 freshman? No, but the problem is having to rely on these guys as starters or big time contributors. With proper recruiting, this shouldn't happen unless all these guys are 5* players that you just can't keep off the field, which is not the case.

Murray did have his problems, but at least he could throw the ball past 10 yards (Mason, lambert, Faton) consistently. Also Murray was a leader for this team, nothing those other guys are close to becoming. I think a small small % might have wanted murray benched, but there were games where he did shite the bed but I think it is more on coaching.
Also Ramsey never looked good in any live game action. The Belk bowl was all you need to watch to tell he didn't have it. Forced throws and bad reads were again reinforced when they put in him vs Bama.
I guess when you are used to M Stafford/A Murray you kinda expect to recruit qbs who can stretch the field and make good reads. Other than those two, Richt has been missing big time on qb recruits.
