This is good! I mean that this with sincerity and zero condescension. It means you’re admitting you were bamboozled, which is hard for any of us to do. We can only learn when we accept we might be wrong about things.

I know a lot of super smart people that got conned by Trump. It happens.

He has been great on the border and peeling back DEI. No doubt about it. Agree to disagree on the others. In my opinion, he has been all talk no action on actual government waste and fiscal conservatism. Which is not surprising given his business background.

He isn't the problem, it's the scumbags in both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court...

Only so much he can do when his own party also guards the plug to the swamp.

Israel been the 51st state since Britain stuck the Jews and Palestinians in the same place 70plus years ago.

People whining about us protecting Israel are unhinged. I mean well da.... Islam would destroy all of the Christian temples overnight and Israel is surrounded by a sea of hostiles. Ironically most of them fighting with us versus Iran.

Find something else to bitch about, we are the world's police like it or not. WW2 happened because we stayed out too long and should have nipped Germany in the mid 30s.

Watching people debate this topic is like watching a room full of people argue about a book none of them have actually read.

First, basic theology that somehow escapes half the internet:

Second, the Christian Zionism argument gets butchered constantly. Yes, some evangelicals believe Israel plays a role in end-times prophecy. But Christianity itself doesn’t hinge on ethnic lineage or geography. If people bothered to read the Epistle to the Romans instead of reposting memes, they’d notice the central claim: faith, not ancestry, is what matters. Jew and Gentile alike.

This debate has been going on since the first century. None of the people yelling about it online are the first to notice it.

Then we get the geopolitical hot takes, which are even worse. People act like U.S. support for Israel appeared because everyone was hypnotized by propaganda. In reality it came from Cold War alliances, Holocaust memory, strategic military interests, and domestic politics. You can criticize those things if you want—but pretending the entire Western world was “psy-opped” just makes the argument sound like a Reddit conspiracy thread.

The real shift happening isn’t some secret plan finally being exposed. It’s generational. Older voters grew up with Israel framed as a democratic ally surrounded by hostile states. Younger voters grew up watching endless regional conflicts broadcast in real time on social media. Naturally their perspectives are different.

But the internet doesn’t do nuance. It does slogans. So instead of history, theology, and strategy, people get a pile of half-understood talking points and declare themselves experts.

The loudest voices in this argument are usually the ones who understand the least about it.

That said the Jews didn't fly a plane into the World Trade Centers, commit countless acts of terrorism against us, attack a music festival and rape and murder women and children, and scream Death to America daily.....
