The lack of self awareness is honestly astounding if you think “republicans” are the only ones who have this approach. Surely you’ve heard of Reddit

In other news it looks like we will get a rate increase before a rate cut.
I honestly hope the new Fed guy is t a fricking idiot that will cowtow to trump. Cutting rates with inflation getting hotter would be a disaster

I’m fully aware of my own views and reasoning. I’m also not the one suggesting a new thread because this one is essentially just a single user posting Twitter links. The political board has a reputation for being an echo chamber, and people who don’t share the prevailing opinions there tend to get banned or driven away.

No…it’s just not worth engaging with people that are only hyper focused on government when they can point the finger at the opposing party. It’s a waste of time.
A lot of new posters all interested in politics were nowhere to be found when foreigners were being trafficked to the US, gas’s prices spiked in 2022 (higher than now), every facet of life being infested with DEI and our energy infrastructure being decimated.
Even now not a peep about ResistCo. being funded by money from God knows where and the SPLC basically funding discourse to be outraged about.
Let’s talk about how the Progressive left can be so easily manipulated into violence and outrage by obvious propaganda. Are they stupid or just chronically deranged?

Huh?
I'm hyper focused on government regardless of who's in charge. This is a current events thread, so why would we be discussing shite from 2022? Though I did mention the Charlottesville stuff when that broke.
Feel free to share what you want about current events. To me, the most important things are the ones that affect my day to day life like the War of choice --> Oil Prices --> inflation --> less money for warmouth
The DEI shite was dumb as frick but no much room for complaining about that shite from 2022 when there is a global economic crisis ongoing currently imo.

I’ll take your word for it but since you just joined on 12/2025 how would I know that?
FWIW I agree with your post on reducing rates would be a bad move and am not happy at all with attacking Iran.

I’m letting you know that if you want your opinion on anything to be even taken with a shred of respect, you need to understand both sides have what is equal to the poliboard, and yes I’m aware that place is a nut house. But it exists for everyone who has “a side”. And that includes banning simply for having an opposing view

You wouldn't but if person A didn't like high gas prices in 2022 I would expect that person to also not like high gas prices in 2026, right? Most people posting on a college board are conservative...I suspect that if this thread existed in 2022 there would be a lot more participation.
I voted for trump 3 times but at the end of the day Im not pledging my loyalty to a politician that doesn't give a frick about me or the common man and will call out their stupidity and corruption regardless of party.

If tweet fails to load, click here. For example, this whole ballroom fiasco ..what was once a 400 milly building paid for by donations (from big tech but I digress) is now 1 billion dollars and paid for by our tax money.
If this was Joe Biden, people would be shitting a brick.. and pining for true conservatives. So it goes both ways. Consistency is a virtue that we all should strive for.
Spare me the security excuses too.

Ballroom is needed no matter who the President is, pllus it keeps Democrat, left wing scum like yourself from attempting to kill the President.
You lefties are unhinged.

Yeah I'm sure you'd be saying the same thing if Kamala was in office.
Also, isn't the whole point of camp David to be a place to protect the president? Trump isn't even in the white house most of the time. Also if they cause a nuclear war to break out, they should have to live with the consequences they create. President isn't any more important than anyone else....they have all been old as frick lately anyways who cares if they are taken out by UFOs or a nuke.

Nope, this is a Twit(ter) dump, that is more mental maturation than group discussion.
If 1 person posted maybe the most important tweet a day, I would agree with your thinking.

Damn y'all are some whiny asses. Don't read the thread if you don't like the format. Deeprig started a new one.

As an extreme fiscal conservative.
As an old school God & Country (pre 1980 election) Merican
This ballroom is folly at best, just another porkbarrel project for somebody at the expense of the rest of us. If the White House is "the people's house" I see no need for a ballroom the average Merican will ever enjoy. The applies to BOTH parties, Not just D or R.

Both sides are unhinged at the extremes, only way to get back to the UNITED States of America is to cut the heads off both ends with equal effort. Sick and tired of each side blaming the other while Russia and China sit back and hope it runs to full Civil War. The only way to truly kill a Democracy is to divide it. Hitler showed us that and look at the price the rest of the world paid.

FWIW, the folks who raised me told me what happened just before the Great Depression.
Low Interest rates
High stock market
Problem is few lived through the Oil Shocks of the 70's as an adult and very few were in on the tail end of The Great Depression and World War II. Even if history does not repeat is sure seems to run in cycles. The key is to pay attention and not to follow the Hogs and Sheep off a cliff.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Sounds like frontier and JetBlue may be next due to jet fuel. Funny back on the early pages these price impacts weren't a big deal but it sure seems like they are now.
Same story with fertilizer prices. Farm foreclosures are up. But we don't get fertilizer from the strait they said. Dummies.
