While the State of Kentucky was supposed to be neutral and several established families in the state were, that did not stop the post war raping of the state and its wealth. I know of one family with holdings in the state around the 1/4 million acre mark who were dispossessed and part of that property is held by a handful of families in New York and Philadelphia to this day.

As example, those same families hold vast land in the state containing timber, coal, and now oil. They have never owned a mining operation, nor employed any workers. All that is leased like the European model early settlers fled against. This is how "company towns" operated in the old days and how modern coal operates today. 3rd party builds the mine, buys the equipment, hires the wortkers. They are the ones who post the reclamation bonds that are severely underfunded so when they go bankrupt when the coal is gone, the state gets stuck with the cleanup bills.

As example part II, same thing happened all over again in drugs with OxyContin. Killed all kinds of folks in the state so all that money got legally sucked away so the the Sackler family could spend billions in Philadelphia being bog shots there while folks all over the country lost loved ones to death and permanent addiction. DJT went to Wharton yet blames the southern border for the drugs when the biggest dealer is in his own back yard. While calling him out now - mainly by his southern border deflection - does not excuse leaders of either D's or R's for their complicit part in all of this.

The most inbred city in Merica that I have experienced firsthand is not in a southern state. Instead of looking at inbreeding by just lifelong proximity, look at inbreeding by trust funds and that is just one city (at least a generation ago) in Merica. You can do your own homework and figure it out yourself, but you have to make that effort.

Lincoln had close Kentucky ties up to his death and I truly believe a post war recovery would have been much more favorable to the South. Only sitting Governor in the history of the USA was in Kentucky after that terrible war. He was assassinated in broad daylight, with lots of folks looking on. Everybody in the state knew who was responsible yet not a single party was held to task. Most never went trail and any that did were pardoned and never served sentence.

Correct "Boomer" generation should be about 20 year span of kids born that had no memories of Great Depression or World War II. They were the children of "The Greatest Generation" and were so spoiled by parents who had no desire to have children experience what they had just survived.

Say 38' to 58' or 40' to 60'

I am fairly sure no post 60 (61+) should ever be called a Boomer. Those will not inherit the same nor will the same protection (like Social Security) be maintained for them.
