Being closer in age to POTUS, that generation and the two above it belived there should be no income tax. Problem is, tariffs worked before WWI debt and Merica was small and industrializing. Now, no matter how high the tariff, it will not keep up with a Modern Merica spending so eliminating taxes is improbable.

I just got a mailer from Keisha yesterday. I didn't realize she was running.
She's probably going to win.
One thing I can say good about her, of all the ATL mayors over the past 3 decades, she was never sent to jail for corruption. She also cracked down on crime in ATL. She also caught a lot of heat for not giving ATL fire department raises, only police. Her reasoning, we have no problem hiring firefighters, no shortage. We have a big problem hiring police, so that's where the raises went. That's sound logic to me. If a Democrat is going to be governor, there are much worse democrats than Keisha. At least she is practical.
