It's been around for nearly 50 years. It has been authorized and reauthorized by presidents from both parties and by Congresses controlled by both parties. It was passed by Carter, and in recent years has been reauthorized by Bush, Obama, and Biden. If you voted for any of those guys as president, or anyone in Congress who voted in favor of reauthorization, guess what you voted for? FISA. You got what you wanted.
