If I run over a person while drunk - and the jury convicts me for manslaughter - is the jury putting me in jail or did I get myself thrown in jail?
Both.
quote:
I get the argument regarding the death penalty but am not sure how it's the jury that are murderers if a person does something so heinous they get the death penalty.
For someone to receive a death sentence, all 12 jurors must vote for it. If any single juror votes against death, the criminal is spared from execution. So...........his life is in each jurors hands. Any one of them can choose to spare this life. And if they don't choose to do it, then they are taking a life.
It's no different than the man who eventually pulls the lever down on the electric chair. Or do you think the executioner is somehow not taking a life just because the state isn't going to lock him up for doing it?
quote:
I'm pro life and support the death penalty.
Come on dude. Read that sentence again 5 or so times, please!
You just said you're pro-life but support death.
It doesn't work that way.

You didn't read any of them then. Because it only shows their farewell last words statement.
These are given before the same idiots that can't even run the DMV and post office begin the death ritual that you fools trust them with..

San Quentin, what good do you think you do?
Do you think I'll be different when you're through?
San Quentin, may you rot and burn in hell.
May your walls fall down and may I live to tell.
May all the world forget you ever stood.
And may all the world regret you did no good.....
Turn it up!........... LINK!!!!!..............

You got a bead yet on your other one?
There's a way. But, you have to catch them in the act.

Say, you're making a few posts late at night. And you realize each one is being down-voted as soon as you make them. So, you're scratching your head thinking "wtf, that's weird". So then....you click the "More" icon at the top. And it brings down a member list that shows whos currently logged on. And its 3am or something and so there's only 3 registered posters logged on. And I'm one of them. And I've never heard of one of the other two..
THis is how I know that Broncothor is one of my serial down-voters. What a pussy.

Fun fact: San Quentin gets more stars on Yelp than a nearby LaQuinta Inn.

Just a stress deal. Shooting pains down the left arm as the heart beats 200 bpm towards the finish line. Understandable considering...

I'm not reading this whole thread but I started ordering my chicken tenders tossed in honey mustard at a couple of local watering holes in Cincinnati and at least 10 people have told me that they have never seen that before

12 Angry HGMF men?
Onward!

Since it isn't even real, we can just go with an 8 man jury for this.....
Case #1: M.G. Rodriguez v. the GSB
Name: Montgomery Goldamundo Rodriguez
Born: Atlanta, GA
Age: 21
Highest Education Level: 10th grade
Summary of Incident: Fleeing a routine traffic stop, a high speed chase ensued. The police laid down spike strips in his path. Rodriguez swerved and successfully avoided them. So, the police laid down more spike strips. Rodriguez again swerved and successfully avoided them. But clipped a police officer standing on the median killing him. It was dark at the time.
Defense: Claimed he was avoiding the spike strips and didn't intentionally kill the officer.
Prosecution: Officers following Rodriguez testified he watched him intentionally swerve to kill the officer on purpose.
Conviction: Capital Murder
So, he's already been convicted. Now the only question for the jury is if he deserves the death penalty.... or life in prison with no chance of parole. His life is now in the hands of 8 fake e-jurors on a sports message board. How do each of you vote?

Breaking rock on a chain gang would be a nice touch tho as stripes are simple but elegant.
Course life in prison for an alleged cop killer may come with extra beatings.
