My fear is that he will go in the very late roudns or be an UDFA

There is no way he gets drafted, imo. Unless he has some sort of crazy combine like Conley did.

The ONLY way I can see him getting drafted late is on the merit of his '12 and early '13 season. He was playing really, really well in '13 before injury.

But yeah...it's been a while since he's played at a high level.

Hypothetical - if Sony were eligible, do you think he would get drafted this year? It seems like NFL teams are bearish on drafting RBs since reasonable talent can be found in free agency, and for less guaranteed money. Sony is very good, but his struggles to create yards for himself (especially compared to Chubb, who was running behind the same line) lead me to believe he wouldn't be drafted either.

Sony would get drafted. He's a lot like Giovanni Bernard.

NOt really, unless "UGA RB" has that much clout. He was 3rd string last year and was hurt some as well, and this year has just done average while being the primary starter.

I didn't have a voice left, but I cheered my heart out for that kid in the USCe game. DGD!

I see him making a practice squad. MAYBE he can earn a spot from there. I just don't see a team taking a chance on him and drafting him really high.

Sony would be an immediate upgrade as a 3rd down back for most teams, a solid 2nd back, as well as a valuable piece on pretty much every special team.

That guy gets drafted.

he asked if he'd get drafted this year. I just don't think teams would have seen enough from him to draft him after this season were that a possibility.

There are juniors and seniors with a lot less good film out there that get drafted.

For a back, it'd be a bonus

Totally could see him be the next Terrell Davis and totally blow up in the NFL.

And Reggie Davis is the next Hines Ward...
Pass the blunt

And yes, Sony Michel WOULD be drafted this year. I can see him playing a Dion Lewis type role

Sony could also be a good special teams player, returning punts and kick offs, he has value for sure.

Agree completely, Sony would absolutely be drafted this year. It wouldn't be right away but he'd easily be drafted.

I think you are right on the sandbagging. Probably why he has not been put in as much as would be expected, especially these last 2 games. The coaches were probably aware he was sandbagging and are okay with it knowing he was likely going to enter the draft.

I would be surprised if this was the case. We have been hurting at RB since Chubb's injury, and the coaches are going to watch one of our top options loaf it and be fine? I don't buy that for one second.

Thats stupid, he wouldn't be doing himself any favors if thats the case. He would have needed to prove to NFL scouts that he is healthy, and back to his freshman year form. He will go undrafted unless he has a coming out party at the combine, and thats if he is even invited to that.

Wish him the best. Great speed but lacks vision and instinct. Runs where the play is called and if there is a hole he will run through it if there is a wall of players he runs into them.
