South Carolinians have a mental disorder where they feel the need, for some reason to seek an identity through the use of certain products. They don't care how the cooler was designed. They just care that these things are popular in certain circles and so they put Yeti Coolers stickers on their trucks to let the world know that they aint just some bo that is still using Igloo or Coleman.

I dont know if I'm articulating it properly, but in South Carolina, they use the back window of their cars and trucks as a veiled plea for help. These people are sick.

this is some compelling research

Thanks for the clarification. The reason I haven't used it yet is because I like to have more beer than this one holds. Maybe I'm packing it wrong. Suggestions?

Start with only putting cold beers in the Yeti.

Lay the beers flat, long ways.

Build the stacking up using the same method.
Put layer of ice on top once you put in all the beers it will hold.

Make sure to fasten tightly.

This is Exactly what I'm talking about!!! Typical clueless form-over-FUNCTION south carolinian giving you a recipe for hot beer.

Holy shite.....

Look. Anyone who has actually packed a cooler......knows that you need about a pound of ice per beer. Two ten pound bags of ice for a case of beer is the bare minimum if you actually want cold beer all day.

Looks like you'll need to buy a bigger cooler.

Or are you an untypical redneck who doesn't know shite about drinking?

He specifically said that he didn't think it held enough beer. It's a Yeti, it will keep already cold beers cooler and for longer periods of time. You don't need as much ice in a Yeti as you would a Coleman. I thought you said you had one, or did you just mean the sticker?

You're a god damn fool.

Yeti's are designed to keep your ice longer. NOT to defy science and somehow allow three ice cubes to keep a case of beer cold all day.

This is fricking CLASSIC!!!!!

What? You don't need as much ice because it doesn't melt as fast. How is this hard to understand?

In addition, I picked up, using context clues, when you asked for suggestions that the main issue was, "it doesn't hold enough beers," meaning you are probably putting them away at a higher than average pace.

Therefore, you weren't looking to keep 18 beers cool for 24hours, but more like 6 or fewer hours. Would that be correct?

Jeff, they're designed to keep whatever you put in them at temp. If you start with ice cold beers in the cooler, they will keep cool b/c they are in contact with each other and the cooler is quality.

You don't only need ice to keep things cool, people also use a bag of frozen peas or a steak from the fridge for injuries.

This is False. It's also basic fundamentals that are taught in grade school science class.

Look. As soon as you take the beer from the fridge and the ice from the freezer......they immediately begin to start getting warmer.

And putting them both in a Yeti does not stop this natural process.

The Yeti needs fuel to keep things cool. Just like your air conditioner. Or refrigerator.

The fuel for the Yeti is called ice. The more ice, the cooler the temp. The cooler temp....caused by the more ice....means the ice will last longer.

In cockinyouRear's ridiculous method you have 3 cubes of ice trying to cool 24 cans. In my method you have about A POUND of ice per can.

One of these methods will provide ice cold beer all day. One will not.

Are you people just trying to frick with me? Please tell me that's whats going on here. Holy shite.......

I have a Yetti sticker on the back of my car & Yetti is my friend on Facebook...I know shite about Yetti coolers & I also know Coors Light will take a certain amount of ice to Cold Activate..

Bottom line: Fck a bag of peas.

That's how you wake up in a field with no recollection of how you got there.

Y'all have to remember you're dealing with Jefferson here, talking with him about drinking is like talking to chef about church. It just doesn't work.

No they won't.

You need energy to keep something cold. If a cold can is keeping another can cold, then it, by definition, has to lose some of its own coolness. And there goes your coolness-generating energy.

Yeti makes "C O O L E R S", not refrigerators.

Look. I'm going to demand an apology here for this display of stupidity and shame that you've brought to our board.

More clarification. When you take a case of beer to the beach do you seriously take 20 pounds of ice?
