What kind of realistic numbers from him would make you guys happy? I'm not talking wins and losses. Obviously we all want him to play well enough to bring home the championship but outside of that what would he have to put up to be considered a successful year?

For reference, Fromm averaged 2,740 yards and 26 tds his 3 years at UGA.

Joe Burrow numbers would suffice

With the new offense my guess is that we might anticipate 500 YPG?

So that's 6000 yards of offense for the season. I would imagine 3600 of that thru the air?

30 TD's passing, with 6 INTs?

Are those Disney if they pass as much as expected?

They need to check the transfer portal just in case.

I'm not sure the numbers are as significant as if he can alter how teams line up and defend us.

His strengths were Fromm's weaknesses.
And according to some youtubers, vice versa.

Dedicating a defender as a spy.
Forcing a pass rush to focus on a disciplined contain approach.
Keeping safeties focused on their primary responsibilities and not the run game.

If we can accomplish this with Newman, the actual passing stats are not as important because of the benefits that we can see in the run game and explosive plays.

Newman to Pickens could be sick IMO.

Pickens is every bit as gifted as Chase. The last thing everyone remembers from Chase is AJ Terrell making him look like the love child of Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.

I'm still baffled how he went from unknown and was not an NFL draft prospect to becoming a sleeper 1st round NFL pic and having Elite 11 QB's being compared to him.

Kyron Drones was probably the biggest surprise of the entire event. The three-star recruit, who won a state title in his first season as a starter last fall at Pearland (Texas) Shadown Creek, showed more polish than we anticipated and the way he moves out of the pocket and fires the ball down the field is very promising. 247Sports analysts Charles Power compared the nation's No. 14 ranked dual-threat quarterback to a young Jamie Newman. The 16-year-old is committed to play for Dave Aranda and the Bears.

It happened after he excelled for a period of 12 or so games. People notice good players, especially qbs.

He is but they have different games. Chase is going to blow by people while Pickens in going to out jump and out muscle people.

It's not. I was just curious what type of numbers people thought he would need to consider it a successful season for him.

True RPO game, should have strong line play based on talent though experience is going to have to come quick, pulling and trapping for Zeus to run behind will be a return of early 80s ga football.

Best defense in our history.

Jamie just needs to keep the defense off balanced, chew clock, run for 50-75 yards a game, and make every completion count.

I'd be happy with Fromm's 3 year average if he can give a boost in the running game on top
(37 rushing 1st downs, 6 rushing TDs, 4 runs of over 20+ yards, 14 runs over 10+ yards... all are last years stats with Wake which are comparable to what we got from Herrien in 2019)

Honestly him throwing for 30 TDS at least would make me happy.

If he throws for more than 4000 yards then I know Monken is lifting us slowly from our prehistoric offense.

If he does that then I fear Monken is headed for a better position Although, I believe we all feel like Faulkner is his replacement when he bails.

Monken will want to air it out, but I doubt Kirby goes for that completely.

We know that Mullens, who is significantly worse than Newman at throwing the football, tossed for 4500 at S.Miss in Monkens last season. Also, unlike S.Miss and Wake UGA will have a significant roster advantage in all but 3 games.

Here's what I think is a very plausible picture of success:

63% 3200 yrds 28-30 TDs 8-10 ints.

450 on the ground. 7 Tds

I really want to see him over 8.5 yards per attempt and in the single digits for interceptions.

With that performance on the year plus our defense, we should go 11-1 with a shot in a rematch vs Bama in the SECCG assuming of course the season even happens.
