No exaggerating at all. Ever since before he was announced so many had his dick down their throat like he was the second coming. Did he have good numbers? Sure, but not great. And before anyone says he did that with a poor supporting cast, remember that the defenses he faced are much lesser than that of the SEC (exception Clemson, of course) in talent, etc.
Oh bullshite. Defending him from exaggerated negativism and purposeful omissions of positive stats and information isn't smoking his pole.

Nobody said he's the savior or going to be the next Joe Burrow and win a Heisman while taking us to the promise land. Some of us are simply trying to set the record straight from ignorant and dishonest attention whores like you.

I mean you're obviously ignoring things people have said and shown that are simply positive facts about the guy, and then you're jumping in every thread mocking the situation with, "But but but... [insert retarded fricking nonsense nobody said or did]".

So how about stop being intellectually dishonest and acting like a 12 year old little twat?

So who the frick do you want to be qb next season... Bennett, Beck, or Mathis?

I'm not writing those guys off just yet. I've watched a couple of Newman's games, namely Syracuse (he only played one and a half quarters before he got injured) and Michigan State. It was a mixed bag of good and bad. He had some good runs and some not so good runs. He's mobile but not what I'd call fast taking off from the pocket. Scrambled out of trouble sometimes and also missed seeing some pressure that he might have avoided. If forced to scramble, he seemed more likely to run than throw, but it's hard to judge if any receivers were open. Plenty of arm strength and made several very nice throws, but also had some ugly unforced errors on very makeable throws. My first impression is he may be less accurate than Fromm on short to medium throws, maybe more on long throws.

In other words, I'm not fully convinced that Newman will just run away with the job. If he does, I hope it's because he makes a significant step forward this offseason vs the games I've watched so far.
