The comments they are making over at 247 will give you a giggle. Their recruiting cookout they had this weekend apparently did not go as well as some expected and now some are taking it out on UGA (which shows they're worried):
quote:
UGA doesn’t need a network. They don’t bother trying to hide that they’re paying kids. Wouldn’t be shocked if Kirby is hand delivering half of these bags himself because that’s how little the NCAA cares about any of this stuff.
quote:
Good to know we've moved past bagmen to Kirby and Georgia's administration personally cutting checks instead of acknowledging that he and his staff are the nation's best recruiters.
quote:
When a school/Mullen says we're gonna do it the right way they're basically saying we will not OVERpay. If uga or anyone else is willing to pay 10k+ and UF says we can work with around 5k as a recruit coming from a bad area would u take UF's 5k or 10k+ from others?? Outside of kirby himself nobody on uga's staff was this elite at their other stops... like the other poster said the NCAA is acting like they really dont give a shite so until Bullgators get involved like other university boosters shite will stay the same. At this point its borderline ignorant to just keep saying UF is just being "outrecruited", although more C-Robs on the trail wont hurt
quote:
We just have bad recruiters , it ain't that complicated . We got too many assistant coaches on staff who are old dogs and can't get after it chasing recruits
quote:
It couldn't simply be that we have a bad football recruiting staff and good basketball recruiting staff.
quote:
I really don’t see why it just can’t be both. We need some better recruiters, but One of the first comments when Fields transferred was “can we get our 600k back.” Everyone knows what’s going on up there. Does UF pay too? Probably but not anywhere close to Bama and UGA.

University that had a murderer and women abusers on their team trying to play the “we don’t cheat” card.

I love Florida fans trying to pull the “we do things the right way” act.

I think the best thing about our recruiting is we heard for years that UGA should be a juggernaut on the trail and now that we are, we're cheating. Keep moving the goalposts, I guess.

Gators suck. Can’t even keep their recruits. Meanwhile, 4 star DT Jalen Carter made his commitment to the Dawgs today.
Standing in at 6-foot-3.25, 311-pounds barefoot, Carter recently won second place in the FHSAA Class 2A Boys Weightlifting State Championship with a 395-pound bench and 320-pound clean and jerk. He is rated by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 96 overall prospect, the No. 10 defensive tackle in the country, and No. 12 overall recruit in Florida. He chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Clemson and others like Auburn, Florida, Florida State, and Miami.
"Georgia is the best fit academically, socially and athletically for me," Carter said. "This is a great opportunity for me to play for a championship every season."
