He obviously gotta bump from our FB season but has that momentum been lost with basketball? Gotta figure if Stricklin lays a similar egg McGarity will be looking for work.

I defended McGarity for about 2 years saying to give him a chance. That ran out about the time that UGA got secondary violations for Richt paying coaches out of his own pocket.

I can't name 1 thing that McGarity does well. Kirby is a great hire. But it took Spurrier quitting mid-season to put those wheels in motion (not anything pro-active on McGarity's part).

I’m hoping the baseball team sees significant improvement this spring. They have a lot of talent this year so there should be no excuses. Strickland is a really great guy and I hope he can turn the program around. My daughter’s boyfriend has committed to play ball starting 2019 so I have been following baseball a bit more lately.

As long as the money keeps rolling in and the football program is doing well, McGarity's job is safe.

mcgarity's contract ends next year and I think I heard he's gonna retire at that point. There aint no damn way someone with his resume is getting an extension, and with as spineless and clueless as he is I'd be stunned if he fires someone as his last order of business.

He was on Bulldawg roundtable this a.m bragging on the Top 4 men's and women's T&F teams and the Top 5 men's and women's Tennis teams. No mention of Basketball or Baseball current/past performance...

Back in the summer when I sent him a scathing email and he called me directly to defend himself, one of the high points he mentioned was how highly ranked our incoming womens volleyball recruiting class was. No, I'm not kidding.

Wow. Yes Greg, we all cut checks every year hoping we can bring in the top volleyball players in the country.

Not a great coach, unfortunately. Seems to be a common theme in our hiring.

I know quite a few players who would beg to differ on that one.

*Stricklin and I haven't heard anyone say he's nice, just the opposite actually. Perno was never really known as a friendly kinda guy but at least he won so no one cared. You can't be a jerk and totally incompetent at your job, which by all accounts CSS is. Blows my mind how he was even retained for this year. We better make a damn super regional this year or there is no excuse whatsoever to keep him.
