People don’t act like their is no difference.
Sure theydo. The two passes that keep being brought up were both in rainy conditions.
quote:Rain affects different people differently. Rain happens so infrequently in games we really haven't had the opportunity to see exactly how it affects Fromm...at least not a whole lot.
e do think that the rain shouldn’t result in the complete inability to move the ball through the air.
Look. I am only pointing out that:
1. Fromm has had some problems this year.
2. Those problems could have been caused by a multitude ofreasons.
Those reasons:
1. Inexperienced WRs
2. Play calling/OC
3. Weather
People keep saying they are not placing the whole blame on Fromm, but when I bring these other factors up y'all keep circling right back to Fromm and Fromm only.
If it is not just Fromm and only Fromm, then why do you all keep arguing with me? You keep insisting that you agree with me, yet you keep arguing the point.
Crap. People on this board have dumped on the best QBs that have played here.
Fromm
Stafford
Murray.
It just seems odd to me.

Probably because you don’t understand what people are arguing. It’s 2 different arguments:
1. the overall problem that involves Fromm, wrs, coley, run game, weather.
2. the Fromm problem that only involves Fromm missing open td passes, and his lack of mobility.
Everyone agrees with #1, but when #2 is discussed, a couple of you continue to try to change the subject back to #1.

I think by now the notion of Fromm as a 1st round NFL pick has been dispensed.
I get the mentality that led to it, but Kirby let Fields go in favor of a 2nd-3rd round talent.

Because they are related!
Do you not understand it is cause and effect? one causes the other. The conditions mentioned are the reasons Fromm is passing that way.
I mean.....lack of mobility? What is he supposed to do? Get a graft of somebody elses legs?
You guys are unreal if you can't see that the problems in #1 is the cause of #2.
#1 is the exact cause of #2.

They are not the only cause of #2. It’s ok to just say that sometimes the qb throws a bad ball

Well, let's just take a look at what you are saying.
Who was saying Fromm was a 1st round talent? the scouts, NFL insiders....in short all the experts. not to mention almost everybody on this board.
So, for all we knew, Fromm was that 1st round talent and Fields was the unknown.
People on this board love to go nuts over decisions when they have total hindsight. I guess it makes them feel like they know more than they actually do. (Not necessarily aimed at you, Lucius)

Yes. And I have said that Fromm has missed some passes. Guess what? Some people wanted to argue that point, too. It's amazing. It's almost as if...gee...I don't know...some people just want to feel like experts and argue with anybody and everybody, no matter what is said.
ETA
Nobody wants to adress that people on this board was tearing down and criticizing Stafford, Murray and now Fromm?
Some of the best QBs that ever played for Georgia and we have nothing better to criticize than some of the very best we have ever had.

All this discussion and telling me I am wrong. Fine.
Would somebody mind passing on what y'all have decided is the problem? because I don't see it in this thread.

There are multiple problems. This thread is specific to the Fromm one. I and others don’t think he’s playing very good football. Apparently that concept is controversial with some people.

I haven't seen any. I have seen people wailing and gnashing their teeth that Fields is gone and wasn't given a chance.
I have seen people mention exactly what I have mentioned.
I have looked but can't seem to see any of the specific problems (other than what I have been saying) that y'all have come up with.
quote:So...that is what you all have spotted? Thanks for the heads up, I guess?
I and others don’t think he’s playing very very good football.
As I said...I and a couple of others have pointed out and given reasons for that sub par play. nobody is saying he is playing lights out. n fact, we are the only ones in the thread giving real reasons as to why this is happening, and all we get is "Your wrong!"
Okay. So, I'll bite. He is not playing well right now.
Why?
Instead of lamenting that Fields is gone, give us the reasons Fromm is struggling.

Who has said none of these things affect the overall offensive dysfunction?

1. Fromm has missed numerous wide open tds in good weather, so rain can’t be used a good excuse.
2. When the oc calls a good play and the wr gets open, neither of those can be used as an excuse.
3. When the OL gives him time, that can’t be used as an excuse.
Fromm is the only problem when he can’t hit the open guy for a td. Understand yet?

My guess is the people who keep refuting those things when I bring them up?

And there is it. I said people were refuting my points, then you said nobody was. Your next sentences refuted what i said. Now do you understand.
Okay. So. You said this thread was to specifically figure out Fromms' part. So far, the only thing I have read is...."It's Fromm's fault!"
Thanks for the breakdown and insight?
Seriously. You wanted to discuss Fromm specifically, and the best you can come up with is, "It's Fromm's fault!"
This thread can now die, since you have nailed down the problem.

I don’t know how many other ways there are to make an easy point more understandable for you.
Either fromm is or isn’t at fault when he misses an open td pass. Repeat: OPEN TD PASS.
I am saying he is. Why? everyone else is doing their job to get an OPEN TD PASS served up on a platter for the qb to hit. The only thing missing on this play is an accurate pass. Fromm is the guy screwing this play up. No one else.
Do you agree?
If you disagree, who or what else is at fault for Fromm throwing an inaccurate ball?

I fee the same way, believe me.
quote:Great. but you don't seem to understand that there could be a lot of factors involved. I don't know why you insist there is one easy explanation when there could be many.
Either fromm is or isn’t at fault when he misses an open td pass. Repeat: OPEN TD PASS.
i mean, this thread is 14 pages lone just so you can say that it is Fromm's fault?
quote:I have said many times that he has a part of the blame. I also think that there COULD be other factors to blame that we are not aware of.

Is the question really "Is Fromm throwing an inaccurate ball?" I mean. Yes. Fromm is throwing an inaccurate ball. Did you really need a thread 14 pages long to say that?
The bigger question, is why? Is it injury? Could it be that it isn't as easy to throw a ball 5 yards in the air accurately while 300LB linemen are chasing you? Could it be something else entirely?
Or should we just close the thread out and say...."Yep. Fromm's fault!"
I find it hard to believe that so many "informed" people on this forum starts a thread to say, "It is Fromm's fault he is not hitting on all the TD passes!"
You guys have a keen eye.

If there is no reason...then why start a thread about why Fromm is struggling? That seems odd, at best.
Is it seriously a necessessary to start a thread to say "Fromm is struggling!" every week?

I mean it’s a pretty relevant topic when discussing UGA’s football team. He’s the QB.
ETA: Should we pretend it’s not happening?

Just stick to what we know:
-There has been no reported injury.
-Pressure isn’t in his face.
-The wr is open.
-It’s not been in a monsoon.
As you can see, All other factors required for a successful play have been fulfilled.
The ONLY part of the equation missing is an accurate throw by the Qb.

Absolutely. But when the entire point is to say, "From is struggling!'.....you know?
I mean, I would think the whole point would be to explore why he is struggling, but apparently all people want to say is "It's Fromm's fault!" and leave it at that.
Very riveting stuff.
