In 2018, we went 11-1.
In 2019, we went 11-1.
In 2018, in the games we won, we averaged 26.8 margin of victory.
In 2019, in the games we won, we averaged 24.9 margin of victory.
Less than a 2 point difference.
The 2019 team is definitely different from the 2018 team, but they can still play defense and they can still score points. Absolutely the offense can do better, but don't act like they've just been a bag of dicks.
That's all I have to say.

2018 - Offense was more productive and the defense was not as dominant as 2019
2019 - See 2018
2019 - See 2018

Most of the 2 points was likely due to the two rain games.

There the idea floating around that Fromm is hurt. Heard anything about that? If true that definitely explains the missing 2 points or more.

In 2018, we had three cupcakes plus Georgia Tech.
In 2019, we had two cupcakes plus Georgia Tech and Notre Dame.
Perhaps that could account for the missing 2 points. I don't know. I'm just throwing that out there.

Agree but that affected the other team too.

Now do it just for conference games.

if he has a sore shoulder, why throw 29 times vs Tech?

Probably because he needs to get as many reps as he can with these young guys.

These fricks are hopeless.

Our defense gave up 20 ppg in 2018. This year we are only giving up around 10.

Riley Ridley, Jeremiah Holloman, healthy Cager, & Pickens for a whole game and we're National Champions.

Well since we are going the what if route, add in Chubb and AJ and those. And maybe some D players like Jarvis too.

Just don’t play Simmons or Landers, don’t telegraph runs and run off-center/guards so damn much (much less 15+ times like usual, especially every freaking time Zamir White steps on the field), stop taking 8 yard loss sacks and instead throw the ball away, don’t start pass plays/receptions behind the LoS when we need 12+ yards for a first down, don’t have 3 out of 4 receiver routes stop 4 yards before the first down marker on third downs, use significantly more pre-snap WR/TE/RB movement to help predict/decipher defensive plays, utilize and throw to Eli Wolf and James Cook A LOT more, and finally how about hitting Robertson, Pickens, Blaylock, Wolf, Cook, Swift, and Herrien in stride for a change rather than WTF overthrows 10 feet too high and turf-burners 10 feet too short?
Just combine THAT with our defense and we can be national champions.
