Wrong.
Bobo ran the Multiple-I when he was at UGA. If we line up with a fricking fullback and a QB under center in Twins Right we will have definitely regressed offensively.

Murray was in full spread shotgun plenty. Your memory fails you.

Kirby won't allow a fullback, but a lot of the creative NFL offense are now using a fullback in the run game. Fullback and I formation can still be creative.

And I'm not sure we could use a FB with Washington and Bowers on the roster.I really don't see us running 22 personnel especially with how good a blocker Washington is.

With all due respect, if you have to throw a "but" in there....

Makes me wonder if the scatback draw on 3rd & long was a function of inferior talent at RB, as counter-intuitive as that was.
Once we got Marshall & Gurley, I don't recall that being a frustration point nearly as much. Bobo oversaw the Gurshall era just like he did the Carlton Thomas era.

With our TE talent, there's no reason we can't employ them in a Fullback role.

In a Spread Offense, the fullback role goes to the H-back when they run formations with one. Depending on the play the H can essentially be another pulling guard, a fullback, or a TE.
Guys, even when Bobo put Murray in Shotgun those last couple of years he was here, the BASE OFFENSE was still the I-formation. They would get in it every game, multiple times a game even those last couple of years. Even with Murray in the Gun, they were running I-formation concepts so not a true Spread in my opinion.
The I formation is dead guys. Bury it with the Split Back Veer, Wishbone, Power I, etc. Let it go the game has moved on.

What type of offense was he using at Colorado State, South Carolina, and Auburn? That may be more telling than what he did for us.

I remember having an about 155 pound back that he tried to run up the middle, over, and over, and over. Can't remember the players name or the team we were playing, but I still have nightmares.

That was when richt was still calling the plays. Thonas Brown was pretty early in richts tenure.
