How has the script flipped this wildly?

Remember the Tennessee game? It was only three weeks ago.
The offense played outstanding and the defense was an absolute liability in the 1st half.
Now the offense can’t gain a 1st down and the defense looks 2017-level good. This isn’t Week 1 to Week 4, this is happening in the middle of October.
What the frick? How?

Kirby is a defensive minded coach. That’s his defense. I’m not so sure the offense is his offense.

Cager is injured and the weather was garbage. As others have said, our scheme and receivers make us more or less one dimensional and predictable right now. If we can’t run over our opponents, we struggle.

It sounds like it was kirbys offense today. Do what it takes for the W and dont apologize.
Still, we need to work on beating man and man under. We need to block perimeter better.

I think our QB and OC make us one dimensional.

It's starting to look like Les Miles at LSU. Those offenses looked the same for most of his time there, regardless of the OC or the QB.
They were typically a run first team that relied more on the offensive line and defense to win games. If one of those areas wasn't getting it done, the QB couldn't win games for them. That's exactly how it's been with Fromm.
It's very likely that Coley is a yes man and is just running the offense the way Kirby wants it to be run. Not giving your coaches full control over the offense is going to hold them back from reaching their full potential.
