Holy shite. We literally grew up right around the corner from each other (and several years apart). I grew up off of Burnt Hickory. Went to Due West for a couple years before going to private school for the remained of elementary and middle school; would have gone to Pine Mountain. Went to Marietta High School because my parents and grandparents went there, but I was zoned for Harrison. That's wild.

Are you old enough to have played Tee Ball at Preacher Clackum Field?

My mother wanted me to go to Walker with some cousins of mine but my father, while wanting me to get a good education, viewed Walker as a school for yuppies and pretty boys. They made a horrible choice and sent me to North Cobb Christian. I was raised in an old Presbyterian family and this was a crazy Baptist brainwashing facility. We had bible class every day and my bible teacher literally told us that it was a sin to make fun of our criticize another Christian. It wasn't a place for free thinkers and my 5 years there were some of the worst in my life. I had never gotten in trouble at school before I went there and in High School I was a model student, but I was always in and out of trouble at NCCS usually because I simply questioned some of the dogma that was being force fed to us... and once because I started a rumor that my buddy Tim was bisexual and caught on like wildfire and his girlfriend broke up with him. I deserved punishment for that one.

frickin' Diamond Jim's. We used to ride our bikes up to Minit Saver, buy a bunch of candy, then cross the street to Due West Video and rent a movie and Nintendo game during the summer. One day we were riding back to our neighborhood and a guy in CMV had been following us and then called us to come over and we hauled arse into the Due West parking lot. We started pounding on the front door and thankfully Mrs. Dewberry was working that day and let us in and called our parents. That was genuinely scary.

Trump can't fix that. Congress holds the power.

He would have a Republican House and Senate majority AND the vast majority of his plans are textbook Conservatism. So not sure what you're basing this assertion on.

1. The wall would get built, immigration reform would swing the Conservative way, and ICE and Border Patrol would get their needed expansions so they can manage illegal immigration properly. This is something Congress and Trump agrees with, so it would certainly happen.

- This alone equates to low skilled jobs becoming more available to the impoverished masses who need these jobs but can't get them now because illegals are taking too many of them.

2. TPP and NAFTA would be repealed and new trade agreements would be implemented that aren't overwhelmingly favorable to our competitor countries and so damaging to the US. This is another item that all Republicans agree with, so it would definitely get done.

3. Reduce income tax brackets to 4, cut out loopholes that the rich and Wall Street exploits, and reduce the corporate tax rate to 15% from 38%. Plus repatriate all the US dollars held outside the US for a small 10% tax.

- There are surely some Establishment politicians in bed with Wall Street who would likely be against part of his tax plan, but they will still have to approve this or they will prove they are not Conservatives and get quickly ousted in their next election. This one is an absolute no-brainer that it would happen. Without question. This is Conservative taxation 101 level stuff.

- This tax plan would also be tremendous for our economy. Companies would stop leaving the US and many would move back here. Jobs would go up significantly. Repatriating $2 trillion would be a huge boost to the economy too.

4. Repeal Obamacare and get rid of the laws that prevent health insurance from being portable nationwide without huge penalties. Create true competition in healthcare. Also expand Medicare to cover the sick so that those with pre-existing conditions aren't left hanging like before. Also improve care at the VA for our veterans.

- Again, all these are agreed upon by all Republicans, so they would happen with absolute certainty.

5. Supreme Court Justices. He has already made his list and the Republicans love it.

So I don't know why you don't think he will be able to get anything done. Those 5 things right there will greatly improve things for this economy and our country as a whole. 1000x more than anything Hillary has planned. All her plans will actually hurt our economy and drag us further into debt and under the thumb of big government dependency and control.

Not everyone in Congress disagrees with Trump's plans. They just want to distance themselves from him as a person because they think it's protecting their image and chances of re-election. But his plans, for the most part, they almost all (Republicans, and even some Democrats) in Congress agree with him.

You might be right. I do think he will put his own best interests ahead of the countries, and everybody elses. He always has.

Trump will carry georgia, so I am not too worried about it. Ironically, I think we will have the lowest turnout of voters than we have had in a long, long time. Normally that would help the GOP as young people and African-Americans, who typically vote Dem. have a poor record of turning out to the polls. This year? I think the conservatives will stay away in droves, too.

Also, one other thought that every fence sitter should think about ... look at how the media and every member of Congress treats Trump. Do you think they will give him an inch if he gets elected?

No. He won't be able to get anything done if elected. On the plus side, nobody will get anything done. However, that also means more runaway deficits.

That's completely backwards.

This election is going to break voter turnout records nationwide.

We had 131.3 million vote in 2008. That's the record right now. I think we break 140 million this election.

Here's some tinfoil for you:

Clinton's Campaign Chairman was responsible for setting up Trump as the Republican "Pied Piper" candidate 2 months before he announced he would run. Suddenly, the insurgent theory seems to make sense.

I understand this is all about a potential president that can disrupt the current power structure. I get it.

I just wish we could've found someone remotely competent and minimally likable to achieve that goal because I really don't know what this guy would do if he is elected.

It's much more fun to screech about elites, cry that the police, the immigrants, the rich fat cats, or the spooky establishment are holding you back.

None of us are to blame for our lives, it's those other people's fault and don't you dare tell me to take responsibility for my life!

It's one thing to be ignorant about how the world around you works, and ignorant to how you are being manipulated, and screwed over, and your culture and birthright targeted for destruction.....

But it's a completely different thing to be ignorant and oblivious to of all this and but then actually be proud and snarky about it.

frick you.
