According to this, UGAAD took a subsidy from the school in 2012:

Anyone have any data about other schools' activities?

Look at the methodology... That number is for the student activity fee in our case, same as Bama's $5,000,000 subsidy...

quote:

Total Subsidy: The sum of students fees, direct and indirect institutional support and state money. The NCAA and others consider such funds "allocated" or everything not generated by the department's athletics functions.

They charge $53 per semester for Athletic fee. It is a mandatory fee as part of tuition.

Provides free or reduced price admission to UGA athletic events. Please note the following:
1. The Athletic fee is included in the "Student Fees" package. No partial waivers are granted.
2. Student Fees for Spring semester must be paid in full to be eligible to register for football tickets for the following fall season.
3. Student Fees for Fall semester must be paid in full to be eligible to purchase student tickets for athletic events.
4. Athletic fees are not assessed in the Summer Student Fees package.
Please access the student ticket web page www.georgiadogs.com for further information.

By the time my wife is done in the vet school, UGA will have received around $130,000 from me/us, including undergrad (hope don't pay if you are over a certain age, like 25 or something).

If I gave $500 to the AA, and they turn around and give $100 of it to the school, that would would piss me off.

Peter, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Not that I'm a Hartman donor at this time, but the chances of me becoming one in the near future are basically zero after reading this.
