Players was in Rome. I live in Villa Rica. I can't remember the name of the store that was in Villa Rica back in 2007 that was run by the UF guy. The store was behind O'Charlie's.

What's his angle in getting a lawyer like that? Wonder if he tried to extort money or something. Because if it was just selling autographs and paying Gurley for them, he didn't break the law.

Perhaps it is to try to protect himself from a civil suit. Dunno, but with the backlash going his way, anything is possible.

In Georgia, don't you have to get consent to videotape someone in a situation they have a reasonable expectation of privacy? (Not sure to what extent that applies inside someone's car if that's where the video was done)

Georgia is a single-party consent state. Only one person involved in a conversation/interaction has to know it's being recorded.

The lawyer specializes in sports, not criminal cases, so I don't think he proactively got the lawyer for the witch hunts that are going to ensue.
The optimistic side of me says he got the lawyer because his accusations are false and UGA/TG have the right to come after him. If that is the case, he'll need the best lawyer that he can (or cannot) afford.
The realistic side of me knows that's probably not the case.
