Gumbys had a good run. I used to cook pizza for them back in 1988.

Getting old.

Somewhere in a storage unit I have a couple tall Steverjnos glass mugs.

Pretty sure once you bought it you could fill up cheap or free can’t recall. I was a couple blocks away first two years. Was a good place to start an evening.

I loved Gumby's. I remember a lot of late night pizza's we ordered at Russell Hall. I think they opened a restaurant across from Russell Hall in the late 90's if I remember correctly. I think a lot of the classic Athens restaurants we loved in the 80's to early 00's did not have good continuity plans. I think this was the case with Steverinos and Sons of Italy. When the owners retired; so the brand and business did with it. It's a shame because as we all remember these restaurants had great food and ideas and each one had something very unique about it. I wish they had done what Woody's in Midtown Atlanta did and sell the business. They did a great job keeping the same quality and idea going.

Delivering to the hood

Scariest sunday deliveries ever and with no GPS, just going based on an Athens map in the kitchen.

Unbelievable we had that skill

I worked there '89-90 as a driver.

The driver's would take turns washing the last round of dishes at close, which was usually around 4-5 a.m.
Fun times!
