Still won’t be the most valuable GT swag I have.

You think he stays Rules since he’s a Homer or does he get poached away? What’s the word on N Ave?

Oh he's fantastic.
And he's a really good dude on top of it.

Only if GT gives him a raise. Last year he was the lowest paid coach in the ACC per Google Gemini.
I foresee GT ponying up some money, somehow some way, to keep him. They won't make him the highest paid coach in the conference, but he won't be the lowest either. But they also have to think about the overall budget and support staff money that Key needs. If Key sucks it all up, then he's not going to get the quality assistants and continuity he wants. He may work for less for that reason alone.
The question is if Key can keep the success going once Haynes moves on. Can he recruit another great QB? What do they have waiting in the wings now? Is last year and (potentially) this year just pop years because they struck gold with the QB?
I want to hear from Rules and Topher. And that other guy, TJ aka jacketfan77. But I think heard he got MS a few years ago and might not be in a position to talk shite on the internet right now.

He's not going anywhere.
He's at his Alma mater. He knows the program and he's got a job for life there I believe if he wants it.

Sounds a lot like Bill Curry and he had no problem jumping ship for Bama.

The parts in bold contradict each other. You seem so sure about your highly contingent statement.
I'm also now convinced you beat off to the Cathy comic in the Sunday paper when you were a kid.
And I intend to recycle that joke on the OT Lounge on your next 55 yo babe thread.

He's not leaving.
He's home. He played there. He's not going anywhere.
That's all I'm saying about it

Haynes King is a warrior. I give him his respect
But I’d be worried if a Tech fan that he was rested last week for entire game
Not sure what his nagging injury is doing
Also, I didn’t watch super close. But Tech still looked 40 lbs lighter at every position than Clemson yesterday

Tech could be 10-0 when we play.
That will only be possible if Haynes King stays healthy. Did you see his workload against Clemson? Can he sustain that all season long?
As far as their future, I think their OC(forget his name) will probably leave before Key does and that would be a big blow to them.

You axed for it.
GT has raised a few hundred million the last couple of years. We can afford to pay Key. We’ll see if we’re smart enough. The new president is a huge sports fan though, contrary to the previous douchebags.
I just texted jacketsfan77 because I realized I haven’t heard from him lately. He’s a good guy, for an English major.

I play cards with a guy who's a Tech grad and booster.
Goose Godsey was supposed to be the next Tech coach. They already had their Geoff Collins exit plan mapped out. But then Key won some games and didn't lose to Georgia as bad as the boosters thought they would. Key got the job in large part because he didn't lose to Georgia as bad as Tech people thought he would.
It all worked out for Tech though.

I hear ya, brother. But now that mine are grown and gone I kinda miss it.
My oldest grandson just got his drivers license though, so I still have some worrying to do.
