I know you came here to share with us how awesome GT is, but all this article does is indict your athletic department for being so half-assed. Like it's still 1996 at Bobby Dodd and you are still trying to figure out what to do with the Olympics money.

Coming from a guy whose school has Stegeman, that seems a bit arrogant.

We sell more basketball tickets than your football program can give away.

You know, there may actually be a problem at BDS. People get a little pushy when they're in line for free food.

Football was practically invented at Georgia Tech & has been played at the current site since 1905.
quote:

Despite these new rules, football remained a violent sport. Dangerous mass-formations, which involved interlocking interference, like the flying wedge resulted in serious injuries and deaths. A 1905 peak of 19 fatalities nationwide resulted in a threat by President Theodore Roosevelt to abolish the game unless major changes were made. In response, sixty-two colleges and universities met in New York City to discuss rule changes on December 28, 1905, and these proceedings resulted in the formation of the Intercollegiate Athletic Association of the United States, later named the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

GEORGIA TECH

“I thought they came back and the energy level was good and we got a lot done,” Johnson said. “We were able to play a little bit live for five or 10 minutes, which we hadn’t done in a while, especially offensively, so that was a good thing.”
Tech will practice Tuesday and Wednesday before releasing the team for its holiday break. The team will reconvene on the 26th and practice on-campus on the morning of the 27th before flying to Jacksonville, Fla., the same day.

UGA

In order to practice at an off campus site, a waiver must be secured from the SEC office and Commissioner. We got that waiver last night. However, the stipulation along with the waiver is that the institution cannot publicize the fact that the practice is off campus before or during the practice. Only after the team returns to the campus following practice can the institution acknowledge the fact that the team was at an off campus facility.

How can there be a wait for anything when only a few hundred people show up to the game?
