I would guess this to be true and honestly I wondered if Richt and Grantham were compatible in terms of personalities and philosophies. Todd will probably get along better with someone sleazy like Petrino.

It's not hard to figure out, if his salary is over a million a year then the buy out price using Jefferson's figures would still have him making a serious raise at Louisville.
The problem with Granthams 3-4 scheme was lack of resources purely put plain and simple.
If you look at any program which runs a complex defense well you will also note they have ten to fifteen analyst tutoring the players alongside the coaching staff.
UGA up until now has been unwilling to provide such resources for whatever reasons, maybe it was an unwritten agreement between Grantham and CMR who knows but, He is getting a Million dollars a year and bolted from a one year out SEC champion program.
CMR & McGarity made a huge blunder here this should have been done back in December to protect recruiting and bring in the best product available but, one is good a excuse making and the other is good at guarding pennies so here we are at the dance with no date.

What is that 400k number? That isn't his base salary. I read on rivals he would owe 40K. Also, how does Louisville have more money to spend on a DC than we do and why would they hire a loser like Grantham?
