The one reason people are still talking about it is how annoying it is that so many are maintaining this fiction.
It's very unlikely that a guy who was worse than Fromm last year is this good now - a superior player from the first moment as a starter. Seems he didn't leave because he was the worse player; he left because he wasn't given that chance to prove that he was better. If we had used the Clemson model it's possible we're in the playoff last season and quite likely undefeated right now.

Ya'll remember how Blake Bortles forgot how to throw a football? Since Bortles, Fromm has regressed more than any QB I can remember. He's the Rick Ankiel of NCAAF.

Yes, Fromm is to blame as far as it goes, but I'm willing to acknowledge where he simply isn't playing as well as he needs to. You don't seem to want to acknowledge that there's more to a successful offense than the QB. Aside from the one ball that went through his hands, the LSU WRs have been consistent all season with getting separation and making great catches to help out Burrows. We haven't had that same luxury this season.

... It's not that he's a worse athlete.. clearly that's not true. He did not identify defenses and put us in the correct play the way our coaching staff wanted... You can fault the staff for prioritizing the wrong things but they didn't just consciously say, frick it... He's worse but we're playing Fromm anyways.
Fields can be the better talent overall and not the better QB in the opinion of the staff making the call... That things aren't mutually exclusive.

There isn’t one dropped open td pass to point to, so let’s assume less than Fromm has missed. That Pickens pass was the one negated by a penalty. One is far less than 10.
