No idea. The skeptical side of me is starting to wonders why new orleans for this terror attack? If you wanted a two day news cycle about an Isis terror threat to penetrate through into the world of people that usually just watch sports or celebrate new years and dont closely follow the news, it might sure make a lot of sense to affect the most compelling game of the holiday. No idea if that’s true, but if so i wonder which country we’ll be bombing and occupying soon because of some supposed link to this event

We can assume there is stuff they’re not telling us….because there is ALWAYS stuff they don’t tell us. Also, if they’re actively looking for accomplices or other devices it will will eat into the time you need to stage an event like this. Plus you have to imagine this whole thing is disruptive as hell to pre game preparation.
It definitely fricked some peoples plans though. Bumping hotel, flight and work plans a day would suck.

He had to wait until after 3am when they remove the vehicle barricades for the street sweepers to come through. He had this timed. I'm sure he'd rather have done it at midnight with max crowd but had to wait until the bollards came down.

I imagine that unless they're tight-lipped about discovering something concerning at the Superdome itself during the security sweep, theost logical explanation for the postponement of the game would be for the expanded police presence at the crime scene on Bourbon, making them unavailable to work the game and patrol the surrounding area.

I read early reports that the AirB&B he was renting burned down early this morning, but I have not seen confirmation of this.
