Such a bad ruling by the judge. You can bet, Gainesville won't be getting any calls in their favor. Rules don't matter anymore I guess. What's next, a team sues because they think the refs screwed them out of a win? Gainesville parents out all week blaming everyone except their sons.

Nah, court did the right thing. The damage was unequal and they would have stolen the seniors last game causing great harm to the entire playoff bracket. The other team would have forever had an asterisk by the win. Blanket punishments are for Low IQ people who can't reason for themselves, Richt was the master of that BS.

Well done Gainesville, this is how you fight to take care of your own in today's world.

Well now, this just got interesting.

Saw on Gainesville X account that GHSA has appealed the TRO and has also postponed Friday’s game until there is a hearing on their appeal.

No they didn't you dumb frick.

If this ruling is upheld, it basically usurps GHSA and the officials and sets a precedent that you can do whatever the frick you want, and people like you and the local Atlanta media are responsible. God forbid we hold kids responsible for their actions. And we wonder why society is the way it is now. Consequences/responsibility be damned.

This would be a moot point if Gainesville and their cadre of coaches controlled their bench.

Gainesville is just showing if you know people, bitch long enough, and have some resources… you can get your way. Wrong is wrong! Both sides should take this as a learning experience and use it to teach these young men.

Hopefully this gets overturned

Got news for ya, Gainesville won't beat Langston even if they have everyone. They are that good.

I will say that the crew probably should have done a better job reigning this in before it got to that point. That is the only thing I'm with the local media on.

But the coaches Foster this behavior

This makes it even worse:

I hate this for Hughes. They are one of the schools in my association and they are a well-coached machine full of good kids.

You have been wrong this entire thread. Concentrate on being Lexis dad and leave the other discussions to adults.

Interesting indeed.

Several years ago, a student in, if I remember correctly, Rockdale County was suspended for his part in a fight at school. He appealed all the way through the school board and then challenged it in Superior Court. It turns out that he was defending himself in the fight, and the judge ruled that GA's laws on self defense trumped the school's zero tolerance policy.

As the ruling was at the Superior Court level, it didn't establish precedent, but it may be persuasive.

Both sides hold blame, but unlike Gainesville, both the Brunswick HC and AD took responsibility.

Something Gainesville refuses to do.

I hope you aren’t officiating that game. You would be corrupt as hell in calling that game. Actually, you probably shouldn’t be officiating any games moving forward. I will save the immature “dumb frick” for your reply Mr. Edgy Referee.

Thomas County Central went to Brunswick for 7 on 7 during the summer and they started a fight that day, too.
