Yea I know it’s a penalty but there has been some
Leniency with the rule. Saban about had a heart attack at how Gus’s guys are always 8 yds downfield by time QB decides to toss it.

I mean I don’t think you’re lying I just didn’t recognize it

cant remember how many "quick passes" i saw this year. Why cant i remember a quick slant at all?

No offense to Fromm but if that guy goes Pro then he is a hypocrite. He says the only thing that matters to him in 2020 is being a leader and leading people to Christ. What better way to do that, then lead your team in 2020 and set an example. Yet he is torn because of the millions of dollars?

Not a good opinion, IMO. Fromm's religion isn't part of the decision making process of college vs pro. He can lead in that regard if he's selling cars next year.

Oh give me a break. If you’re gonna use that logic then why not say he’d be a hypocrite if he came back? Surely Fromm can give more back to Christ by using the money he’d get going pro to help the poor and using a larger platform to spread the good news than Athens and Warner Robbins.

I remember one against A&M (or one of the last home games, idk they all run together right now) where Fromm threw an absolute piss missile and the receiver, of course, let it ricochet off of his hands and fly sky-high into the air.

It made me deeply afraid of any quick throw over the middle from our offense

My opinion on Fromm going pro this year has nothing to do with money. I think if he goes this year he's thinking he might be able to land on a good team with a good situation of learning before being thrown to the fire.

spit balling here of course.

It's obvious at this point that Fromm wants to go to the NFL right now. The draft grade is probably what is holding him back.

I don’t think that opinion is off. My thoughts are this. Did he lose some luster this year? Yea. Does Tua declaring bump him down another notch? Yea. Could he theoretically come back and have a great year and move up in draft stock? Also yes.

However, two thoughts:

1) NFL GMs scouts always go Gaga over the Combine and over interviews and we know Fromm would probably light both those up, especially interviews. That will help when they also look at 3 years of tape where 2 years look great and 1 is less than stellar but it looks more like an outlier.

2) If Fromm comes back then what guarantees he does better? He’s only got Pickens as a reliable receiver. Everyone else is freshman, unproven, or hurt in the case of Blaylock. Lost both his tackles, his top 2 RBs, and even his 2 mediocre TEs. We’re not just guaranteed to be better on offense. If Fromm fails he goes from having 2/3 years be great to 2/4 and now GMs wonder if perhaps it wasn’t an outlier.

The NFL is QB happy and they reach for people even like friggin Finley from NC State. It’s hard to imagine he slips beyond 3rd but I could see 2nd easy. If he gets info that it could happen then why wouldn’t he go? Is James Coley going to reinvent our offense? Is he gonna be able to throw the ball at Pickens every down? Is Zeus going to be a truly elite back?

Honestly if Jake comes back I think it’s because he loves college and really thinks we can win a title. QB group is stacked next year too so it’s most likely he’s plateauing 2nd round next year too.
