Exactly. My cousin who I love dearly and is one of my favorite people on earth but maybe isn't the most forward thinking person got married on our bye week in 1998. He thought it was perfect because it was an off week, so everyone's happy! Well, fast forward 5 years and we're playing LSU in death valley and he's basically forced by his wife to go out of town on a nice vacation for their anniversary.

Just get married in the spring people, it's really not difficult. There's not shite going on other than boringball but there's 160 more games to catch so who cares if you miss one of those.

I've started getting crap about needing to conceive in the Fal so my kids aren't born on a Gameday. And to THAT I say frick no. I hope my kids are born in the Fall. You kidding? Easiest birthday parties EVER.

huge mistake. From ages of 1-12 you're gonna be forced to have family and other little runts over the house or at chuck e. cheese or something for birthday parties. You don't want that happening in the fall.

Although, I have a November bday so now it's not that bad because when my bday falls on a gameday...EXTRA DRUNK

The way I see it, my Saturdays are going to be pretty well consumed during those early years anyway. I won't allow my kids to attend an actual game until they're about 7 or 8; they have to actually be able to grasp the concept of football before I take them. I abhor parents that bring infants or small children into the stadium. Just stay at the tailgate or stay home but don't burden the rest of us with your kids.

what are you gonna do when little tyler wants to sign up for soccer or basketball at age 6 or 7 and games are on Saturdays in the fall?

That's one of my biggest fears in life.

Sign up for a league that plays its games in the morning. And thank God above for inventing the WatchESPN app

"daddy I ran out of water, can I have some of your orange juice?"

-No son, there's copious amounts of vodka in here and daddy is trying to stream gameday on his phone. Go back to the sidelines now buddy.

My parents hated when I played fall baseball. I hate myself looking back at it. I was an a-hole.

Sounds like you really want to go the wedding, right? Then wtf are you complaining and starting a thread about? If you really want to go the wedding, there doesn't seem to be any problem. If you don't want to go and would rather go to the game, then go to the game.

Your giving Georgia students way to much credit on having any sort of rabid fan culture or even really having a fan culture. Sure, I knew people who were fans but honestly, for 90%of them, I use the term loosely. Most of them didn't go to games, or had a rule about leaving during the 4th quarter, or simply just didn't give a flying shite.

I called up one of of my buddies whose still in school and he was one of the hardest core fans i know and he told me he wasn't ordering any tickets this year. I knew numerous others other fans who went to one game in 5-6 years of being a student. Also, knew a ton of people who were fans of other schools.

And it's not like I surrounded myself with people like that on purpose. That's just the ways things were.

i didn't really mean to come across as complaining. More of a SMDH thread. It is annoying.

Then you and I went to two different schools. I mean yea there are the frat stars who care more about tailgating and going to the bar at halftime. Those people suck and you're going to find them at every school. But I never saw it as bad as you're making it seem.

Coming from a current student, I don't think I know a single person at UGA that fits that description. As stated above, you must be surrounded by super lame people or maybe you are confusing us with Ga Tech? That would make more sense.

Maybe so. Maybe I had an extremely atypical experience, but that's what I saw. It wasn't till after I graduated that I started and I started meeting more young professional UGA alumni that things seemed to be a bit more pro-Georgia on a regular basis.
