Part of me think Joe Brady was cover for something else. Yet another reason O is gone.

Yeah, 2019 Burrow had a very PEDdy look to him, like OM's Chad Kelly a few years before. It's one thing for a guy to get better year over year, but to make the talent leap that Burrow did from 2018 to 2019, I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Is that what you are getting at?

Burrow showed flashes in 18, in his first real action as a starting QB. More than anything he showed moxie. He got destroyed in their bowl game vs ucf but since he was basically their only qb he gutted it out to a win. He has also exceeded my expectations for what I thought he'd do with the bungles. So there is definitely a there there.

Lots of qbs make big leaps from year 1 to year 2. Stafford showed some promise towards the end of his fresh year (after looking like hot garbage early) and turned into the stud we expected year 2.

Basically all this gnashing of teeth over Stetson v Daniels or whoever is just typical fan stuff. If Kirby thinks Stetson gives us the best chance to win going forward then we have to trust that is truly the case. Ultimately it's his arse/reputation/legacy that's on the line, not ours. My work/life problem set is not affected one iota.

want. But Monken will probably be here next year. No way Brady comes in as a QB coach or analyst imo

Eason, fields, and Daniels are a more elite group

They may well be *better*, but to call any of them elite is a stretch. Eason didn't go on to light up the Pac-12, Daniels wasn't exactly dominant in the Pac-12 when he was there, and the GENERATIONAL TALENT never really won anything of note.

On many people’s pre-season Heisman list

So was Spencer Rattler, and that didn't really work out, either.

The crux of the issue is this:
These are the last few QBs of each team with significant playing time:
Bama: Hurts, Tua, Mac, Brice
UGA: Fromm, Bennett, Daniels

Notice a slight talent gap there?
