They are getting a good player and a fine young man. I wish him well.

I would do the same thing in his position, wishing him the best in his new school.

Washington signed another kid from the west coast this cycle - Jacob Sirmon. He is also 6-5 225 and a top 100 recruit. Eason could conceivably ride the pine at UW after Browning leaves next year.

I hope he does well though. The chances of our paths crossing is miniscule, in my opinion.

If true, I hope he is successful there. It had to suck for him to get injured and watch a freshman come in and take over. I'm sure his pride got hurt. He deserves an opportunity to show how he's improved as a QB and I think Washington would be a great place to do that.

I hope for nothing but the best for him going forward.

Much better than Washington State.I know they lost their OC but I'm assuming Chris Peterson keeps the same
offensive philosophy and will prepare em well for the NFL.

Jacob Sirmon

I’m a little surprised Eason chose UW with Sirmon coming in. I don’t think it’s a slam dunk that he gets the job. If I were him, I would’ve stayed at UGA, redshirted in 2018, graduated and then transferred. At that point, he has the pick of the litter. He can play immediately and evaluate depth charts at that point. There is some risk for Eason

If he's gonna redshift better to do it at a place where
you want to go and learn the offense.I think the best choice may have been the JC route for a year and get multitude game day reps and then go to your school of choice

JC gets him playing time and solves the problem of the redshirt (Eason doesn't want to be a 5 year player).

I agree that it would have been the best move. That said... if he wants coaching, the level of QB/OC coaching will be better at a P5. Fundamentals may be better served at a bigger school.

I’ll definitely be watching their games if he’s playing. Want to see him reach his full potential.

Sirmon isn't even the best incoming freshman QB for Washington. They also signed Colson Yankoff from Idaho. That kid is a beast. I watched him play in person before I moved back down to Alabama.

Colson Yankoff

Odd choice by Eason.

Will Eason get to play immediately there or have to sit a year?

I imagine he has to sit which makes his choice to go to Washington even more head scratching. I know he's from that area, but they are going to have a loaded QB depth chart in a year.

Wish him nothing but the best. Hope he kills it out there.
