Kid was a head case Saturday. He's thinking about injury.
Think about it. Saturday was probably the first time after nearly two year and a brain surgery that he took real hits in a football game.
I'm sure if he can get over that we'll see a different guy and he'll definitely have opportunities to work through his issues.
I say he should go in on a couple of designed runs just to get hit and let the staff see how he reacts.

Maybe he was running the ball but that shouldn't have affected his indecisiveness and his ability to
read defenses.He also had very little composure in the pocket
Hopefully 1st game jitters but he still has a lot of work to do.

Dude, I'm not sure you know what 'reading defenses' entails.
If you take away the pressure of guys running at you trying to take your head off it's pretty fricking simple. Complete morons do it every week. Mathis can absolutely do it.

Dude got fricking crushed on the first drive while running towards the sideline. Blow to the head too. We saw how he reacted.
He will get another chance for sure, cause Stetson doesn’t have the talent to play at this level. Just hope it goes better next time

Exactly. Nobody gets a pass, but there was a reason for his poor play. Let's coach the kid up whether or not he ends up the starter.
