No, that’s not true at all. It’s poor coaching irrgardless of talent. Good talent or bad talent, it’s poor coaching. From foot work to hand work shot selection, it’s piss poor from top talent to scrubs. And that’s solely on the head coach not developing that.

Completely disagree. One year can not always overturn 10 years of bad habits some of these kids have developed.

6 of the 15 players on the roster are seniors. There is no need for a first year coach to be cute with this roster. Put in your offense and defense and let the young guys learn it, and stick to it. It will pay dividends in the future.

Yes. That’s what our coaches did to us. Bad pass. Suicide. Bad angle, suicide. Too many, the entire practice would be running. We were pretty good (20+ win seasons, 78ppg sr year) despite being utterly lacking in talent.

Are you a little bit older? Main reason I ask is because I have a harder time seeing that working nowadays. If our team was running suicides every time they made a bad they might die from heat exhaustion or be tempted to transfer.

It doesn’t take much before you start cleaning up your mistakes. That’s why you spend a lot of time on fundamentals. So by the time you get to even scrimmaging, most of your you’re limited only by your talent, not by your lack of composure. Georgia’s fundamentals are horrible. Ogebede was taking 15 footers for crying out loud. That should never, ever be a shot he takes.
