We just can’t stand prosperity. It was Jeremiah but we have lost an alpha to go to when we need a dawg. A bunch of really good betas. But we are missing someone to lead

Is it conditioning? Did this style finally wear our guys out mid year?

Because we lose rebounding (which a lot is effort), effort plays, and do dumb mistakes (usually fatigue). Are we just worn out?

Yeah. We just don’t have the collective skill level of top SEC programs. I don’t even blame White. He gets the best a program like UGA can get. He can’t control the ball once it leaves the shooters hands. Whether bricks from the perimeter, complete air balls, missed layups and put backs… he isn’t at fault. That is just a skill thing and we don’t have the level of players who can do that consistently. I actually commend him for keeping games within striking distance.

Lot of athleticism on this team but not a ton of basketball skill.

A&M is cleaning up on the offensive glass now, just like every other SEC team has against Georgia. They allow more offensive rebounds per game than any other major conference team in the country. Only Merrimack, Jackson State, and North Florida allow more.

Really sucks because the SEC is so bad this year. I'm not sure the league gets a team beyond the Sweet 16 in March.

Probably true. I have been focusing on our guys position and movements in the paint once a ball is shot, by either team, and we just don’t fight for position. Perimeter guys hang back and don’t crash the board. Our guys under the basket consistently get out maneuvered and blocked out. Effort on the boards seems week but again, maybe that’s just a reality of our collective skill level.

I just think we are what we are. Somebody said a couple of weeks ago on here that this was an 11-7 conference team. Didnt want to debate because he seemed so excited and wasn’t trying to destroy his optimism. I stuck to 8-8 as probable and a slight chance at 9-7. Earlier this week I changed to 6-10 and that’s probably most likely the case. But could see us ending at 5-11. Wouldn’t surprise me the way this team has been playing. I don’t think it’s a secret to any coach from here on out how to strategize against us.

We need to win 2 out of these next 3 or we might be cooked.

Don’t think it’s the lineup. We are getting tired and worn down. I tried to settle everyone’s expectations early about this team and our schedule. Some were wishful thinking because we got ranked…others are just idiots calling it “fools gold” because this was never a good seed in the tournament type of team.

Can we go on a run and do something special, for sure, but it’s not the type of team to sustain the high level we had earlier in the season against the weaker competition we played.

We have to get our energy back, start focusing on those inside shots and then actually hit the 3s we do take.


Will still be fun to see this team play. Go Dawgs!
