Dawgs are one of best teams

In SEC defending 20-40 yards explosive plays. That is a big part of State's offense. So IMHO, limit the long plays, stop the run and control the ball with long drives. I'm sure it won't work out that way but if it does Dawgs win and control this game 34-20. I think game will be won in 3th quarter, with State throwing it all over the field trying to make a comeback in fourth.

I haven't watched any Ms St so I watched the Brooks Austin breakdown of their tape vs Texas. Based on that, I think they will hit some big plays down field and be in this game.
It will be yet another game where we get a big fish on the line, set the rod down in the rod holder and tighten down the drag, let the fish wear himself out then crank him in and gaff him in the late 4th quarter.

Also I don't want Gunner having to take a bunch of hits like most games. Eventually that chicken is going to come home to roost. We need to get our running game rolling early, with the running backs, not Stockton. At this point, we've put plenty on film to force defenses to account for Stockton running, he doesn't have to keep doing it at this pace, certainly (hopefully) not in this game. I don't want him running anything designed. Only scrambles.

Stockton has a bad habit of fading in the second quarter and having to get to halftime to regain his focuse and mental edge. It cost us terribly against Notre Dame.
