They're in their room wearing masks crying about people living their lives and doing the things they like, such as watching and playing football.

People are still dying at a high rate. Various localized outbreaks are still shutting down bars, restaurants and schools. A second wave is hitting Europe. Time moves on.

Things are getting better, as is expected and good.

I would hope no one is upset about things getting better with the virus.

High - 2. Great, or greater than normal, in quantity, size, or intensity

Rate - 1. A measure, quantity, or frequency, typically one measured against some other quantity or measure.

CDC updates survival rate by age:
0-19 99.997%
20-49 99.98%
50-69 99.5%
70+ 94.6%

Now, do the deathrate without COVID....I'll hang up and listen

Except in that one country that went about business as usual except those at high risk. Weird, right?

Right now most think that we are in a lull before colder temps move people inside.

Currently COVID deaths are are at a rate exceeding 250,000 annually. I consider 700 daily deaths a high rate.

Many experts are puzzled about Sweden but that country did ban congregating in bars and limited gatherings to 50 people. Masks were not encouraged but social distancing and hand washing were encouraged. Enforcement wasn't needed--Swedes generally follow government recommendations.

So far Sweden has avoided a second wave but officials are still concerned about what might happen in the near future.

Sweden isn't homogeneous.

Demographics of Sweden
quote:

Sweden's population has become much more ethnically, religiously and linguistically diverse over the past 70 years as a result of global immigration. Every fourth (24.9%) resident in the country has immigrant background and every third (32.3%) has at least one parent born abroad.[4]

We keep hitting new infections daily thats a problem for a virus with no vaccine and a mortality rate far higher than the flu.

Stick your head in the sand if you must but just know that even Trump has acknowledged that this is far more serious then what most on this board claim it is

Tbh, I was worried when they said the fatality rate was 3.4%.

It went from being the Spanish Flu to a deadly cold.
