I had a condo Carolina Walk for year CNB. I live part time in Charleston. Been to plenty of games. I have season tickets. All for business purposes. My advice is spot on.
Maybe waving towels and listening to gay club music makes the drive seem faster.

My advice is to fill up in Augusta, go to the game and afterwards don’t stop until you back to Augusta. Columbia is a shithole inside of a shithole.

If you are in Augusta Friday evening the border bash is pretty fun. Bowl gamesque atmosphere. Usually a couple of decent music acts, beer, school bands, cheer leaders and mascots. Food vendors.....not bad for a regular season game.

I would suggest getting some bbq in Columbia. SC bbq is my favorite. We love Maurice's Piggy park. It's really dated and my dad says it's not as good as it used to be, but I still love it. Also Little Pigs BBQ is awesome. Looking at Yelp there are other good ones. Other than bbq, I am with other posters - I hate Columbia. I looked at going to school there until I visited - no way.

Thanks all. Great advice...some laughs too. We are taking the shuttle.seems to be the right way to go. Grabbing a few beers at the Thirsty Fellow and then off to the game.
USC fans have been very nice so far. If we win, that may change.
