His last article in The Athletic states "The general criticism of Georgia’s offense is valid. It does need to be more creative. The formations are too bunched up, rather than spacing players out in order to give playmakers the best chance to make plays in space." - Seth Emerson, The Athletic

"When looking only at production in conference games, the Bulldogs’ offense ranks 10th in the SEC in passing yardage, sixth in pass efficiency, sixth in scoring, ninth in first downs and eighth in third-down conversions. This is bad, considering the SEC opponents have been Vanderbilt, Tennessee, South Carolina and Kentucky and the Bulldogs have yet to play their two toughest opponents, Florida and Auburn."

I will rest my case because I do not like to trash on my Dawgs. All I'm saying is there is plenty of justification to be worried about our offense and if we don't improve it things will start to get ugly. Sometimes you need to take off the red & black glasses to see that there is a problem and I hope we can get it fixed.
I hope to see you fellas in Jacksonville.

I don't think many in here are doing that. But you said that stats are painting a false picture in your OP. They paint a portion of the picture and you can't just throw them out because they don't match what you're seeing.
We all know that the offense is not up to par and it's a combination of things. You can't just point at one thing and lay all the blame on it.

I just listened to his podcast this morning.
He said that he notices spacing as an issue (both for passing and running). But he said that it is too soon to blame playcalling. The jury is out.
Against South Carolina, we spread the field with empty sets on about 25 snaps (many of those motioned a tailback beside fromm).
Even the comment about spacing is a half truth on plays that didn't work.
DJ shockley is on secnetwork breaking down playactions. And yes, there are crossing routes behind the linebackers. In djs illustration, fromm completes a 13 yard out on the sideline. But there is a mirror route from the slot crossing right in front of the center that didn't get the ball underneath a safety. Many of the complaints arent valid other than the quality of execution and Fromms decision of where to deliver the ball.

2018 2019
Rushing yards per game: 239, 236
Passing yards per game: 226, 234
Points per game: 37.9, 36
Yards per carry: 5.9, 6.1
Yards per pass: 9.0, 8.2
Tell me how this is misleading. Are the 4 int misleading, or the monsoon we played in misleading?
Stats against Arkansas State and Murray State mean nothing to me. Against the actual teams on the schedule, our point totals have been:
30 vs Vandy
23 vs ND
43 vs Tenn (looking like this was an outlier)
17 vs USCe (in 2OT)
21 vs Kentucky
That's 26.8 ppg, which is absolute dogshit in this era of football.

FWIW... We're giving up 11.4 ppg vs those P5 opponents so that's a 15.4 point a game win margin.
Last year after 5 P5 games we were scoring 35.8 pts a game against very similar competition but we were allowing 21.4pts a game.
So our margin of victory this year is 15.4 vs 14.4 last year vs similar or better competition.
You can make stats say anything...
