That play went on for a while after he was hit so the pic was probably when there was still a live ball. Since we were chasing it down it’s likely nobody noticed he was hurt for a few secs.

So, what your saying is, fans can only see a small window of what the coaches see, and even though a number of them wanted another QB, the one many fans “knew” sucked, but the coaches chose ended up leading us to 2 nattys.

IMO Gunner forces the offensive game plan to be more centered around getting the ball to the playmakers first and let them do their thing.

IMO with Beck, the offensive game plan was to rely on him first and then the other playmakers.

Just my observations...

You mean the short and intermediate passes to our playmakers that our fans said was a terrible strategy and blamed Bobo? Like the entire season?

Why did beck lay on the field like a little bitch? And wait until the coaches came over before he moved - were his legs hurt?

The same Beck who was ruled out for the game who kept his pads on and engaged with the team the second half…who was ready to come in and take the final snap on a moments notice? That Beck?

That and no teammates to help him is a strange look.

The play ended up 40 yards from Beck and the rest of the players rightfully went to finish the play and then left for half time. Most likely didn’t see him. Several players did go over to him and at least 6 staff surrounded him and told the players to go to the locker room. This is a totally fabricated and inaccurate take. There is no correlation to this and the players getting behind Gunner. Im fact, its the right thing to do in that situation.

The same one who lay there in the fetal position and just magically hopped up when the coaches came over. I get it if it were a head/leg/some other injury that prevented him from moving, but that? Could it be that he came in because he saw the team rally around Gunner and wanted a piece of that pie?

We had seen way more production out of Bennett than we have of Stockton,

The only thing we had seen of Bennett was the 2020 season, before he was injured in the Alabama game.

I was at the game and saw the whole thing. He stayed down and 6 or 7 staff surrounded him as soon as the play ended . He knew his throwing arm was hurt significantly based on body language. He was clearly in pain and trying to process what could have been a career ending injury. For any fan to mock him for this and diminish what he did here is just really really sad. I think it says more about them than him.

Where did the bad Bobo touch you?

Why do they have to be short passes? Fit your narrative maybe?

What if he throws fricking bombs to them, what if he uses the TE's more ?

Sure.

If Beck is 70% by game time, would you start him over stockton? 80? 90? What if Stockton balls out this game and beck is ready for the next? Who then?

Bobo has touched my hands a number of times. It was a handshake, no molesting.

Getting balls in playmakers hands and letting them do the rest sure implies shorter passes to me, but maybe you meant to say something else.

If Beck can’t throw well, he should not play or only in an emergency. I have high hopes for Gunner and want to see him be successful. One can do that and not try any angle possible to trash Beck.

I see Stockton forcing defenses into uncomfortable situations. He isn't Vick but he runs well and throws extremely well on the run which creates space and Pass Interference penalties.

He can, but the defense can bring up safeties if they are not concerned with getting beat often in intermediate and long passing game.

From all reports I've read, Stockton's long passes are on par with Beck.

Less than 10 yards from LOS. Intermediate 10-20. Long 20 plus. Your results may vary.

Then, I think getting the ball to the play makers in under 20 yards to let them do their thing is more than doable.

And that is what I would consider the offense not running through Gunner perse

Beck’s strength was hitting cross routes in the 15-20 intermediate zones. Being tall with a rocket arm helped that. Have not seen enough of Gunner to judge if he can make those reads and throws effectively.

The problem I see with Beck on those throws you mentioned is he drops his arm down like a baseball throwing motion.

So, he goes from 6'4 to effectively 6'1 real quick, losing the height based on mechanics.

Also, his strong suit being across the middle passes have been picked several times due to late throws and deflections and the LOS. (back to my point of his dipped down throwing motion)
