Gunner reminds me more of Fromm with better legs. Thicker than Stetson, can run but not as twitchy as Stet. Stet was very quick and made a lot of people miss. I don't see that with Gunner. The thing we didn't see a whole bunch of last night was downfield throws. He only had 71 yards on 12 completions. If he has to be the man, it'll be interesting to see how we adjust the offense. I thought we tried to run him more than necessary. Guess we'll see.

It's just weird how the WRs made better grabs from Gunner.

They also consistently play better in the second half for Beck as well so idk what to make of that.

I'm fairness, you don't wanna have to make your back-up who's barely played pass more than he has to. I thought giving him shirt, quick passes and screens was the right call to not put too much on his plate in that situation

Oh I agree, Just pointing out that if he has to be qb 1, we haven't seen any of his accuracy on deep throws, outs, or crossing patterns which we'll have to have in a full game situation.

Maybe I’m overthinking/overreacting but Gunner’s release seemed really slow. If that’s what he is then so be it. However, he won’t be able to stand in the pocket long. Teams could exploit him. Bobo will have to design plays similar to what tech does with Haynes King.

Gunner is being really careful with the ball, it will speed up after a few weeks with the 1 a.

My impression of Bobo's offense has always been that it takes a good long while for a qb to learn and execute well. Aaron Murray was a good example; when he finally got clicking it was hard to stop. I'm keeping an open mind about our chances with Gunner, but this is a tall task for him.

If you watch a replay of the hit on Gunner, when his helmet comes off, his eyes roll back. Hope he's not concussed. If he is, takes 7-10 days to recover.

It's not like he just got on campus.

I know. I'm just a skeptic about anything until the evidence accumulates. Gunner may be fine so I'll wait and see.

I thought the kid straight up got his soul forcibly separated from his body with the hit. It makes me wonder if they brought Beck back in for the handoff to Etienne as a precaution for a concussion protocol.

It was like watching Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat doing a soul suck fatality move.

Maybe. But if your helmet comes off (except by a facemask)you have to sit out a play.

His helmet came off, so he couldnt be in the for the next play.

That's a good point. I didn't even think about that.
