No, he'll be spending more time in traffic trying to get out of work to get home. Good luck with that

Would have been oing backflips, living in Athens.
I've always hated Cobb county (it's an admittedly irrational hate, but I have always despised the county and Marietta. I think Kennesaw Mt is it's only redeemable quality). So, this move doesn't do a lot for me other than save me a few extra bucks on gas.

I wonder if we can get a sponsored stadium, which would allow for additional income to increase payroll

It is way past due that Coca-Cola have their name on an Atlanta stadium.

Anyone else see that it's planned to hold "42,000 seats".....wtf???? 30-40K less seats for a new stadium? That's odd.

One, the Ted wasn't a 72,000 seat stadium, it was like 52K. Two, we should never, ever have had that large a stadium to begin with. I get it was the olympics but even the Dodgers struggle at times to fill their behemoth. I would be totally ok with a 38K-42K stadium. We get enough shite for empty seats.

Yeah we had one of the larger stadiums. Kind of tough to fill out 50k seats for a baseball game, especially with Atlanta fans.
It needed to be smaller to have less empty seats.

It'll take, what, 2 years before the novelty of a stadium in Cobb wears off and Braves stop selling out games?
Braves fans (Atlanta sports fans, really) are fickle as fuuuuuuuuuuck.

Took Minnesota like a year to stop bringing half the crowd and Miami a couple of months.
We're slightly better...maybe a season and a half.

This is what i was reading when I used the number. It says 85,000 seat stadium. Guess when they converted it to a baseball stadium they downsized it? I thought if anything it would stay about the same and being that they are using it for mixed-use development they would be able to fill it up with a bigger draw.

Can't wait! Stadium's going to be literally on the street I live on. Tailgating at the pool, and then walking to the game. Fantastic.
So glad I don't have to drive out of the way to get to a game now. Good riddens, Ted.
