TCU was probably the best team in the country this year and they return a lot. tOSU and TCU shouldn't be surprise picks. Clemson...dude must've hit his head. Georgia isn't really a surprise pick to me. Defense should improve under Pruitt and the offense will motor along like it always has under Richt. Maybe we take a small step back there but not a big one. Richt is still at the helm so we'll forget to show for a game or two and maybe lose those. I thought we would be in the playoffs this year and lose to tOSU in the first round. Unfortunately we didn't show up for one too many games and it showed.

I posted a link from ESPN having them predicting the Dawgs have the talent to make a run also. QB shows up and we keep our top wr commitments i'm buying it.

This just comes down to who wins the SEC. The SEC champ is likely to be in the final 4. It would normally be a lock, but the SEC has been on a downward spiral recently, so nothing is certain.
These guys (and ESPN) just think we're the favorites in the SEC, which probably means final 4.
I'm not drinking that kool-aid with our current QB and new OC situation. Plus things tend to fall apart when the media hypes us.

Say wha?
The SEC won 8 natties in a row. Did not win the last last 2. The mighty West was slaughtered this year post-season. We've only missed the top 5 preseason twice since 1989 and likely will in 2015.
I'm not saying we're down to ACC or B1G10 levels. Nowhere near it. But in no way does the SEC hold that huge margin that it did recently. If the current trend keeps up, the PAC12 will surpass the SEC quickly if they haven't already. Most experts will say the PAC12 is stronger than the SEC right now. Those preseason rankings would agree.

Preseason rankings - especially this pre - are little more than wild-arse guesses, or, at best, scientific wild-arse guesses.

it's just gonna be ridiculously tough. we are gonna have to beat bama in the regular season and win the sec championship. or lose to bama and win every other game. i dont find either of those all that likely.

Agreed about preseason rankings, but the final rankings this year tell the same story. Again, this is only in comparison to the SEC over the last 10 years or so. In comparison, the SEC is down.
