That honestly pisses me off. We already over pay our DC, gonna be annoying as frick to do it with the OC. I say call his bluff and let him walk. He won't do it and if he does then who cares because apparently we will just hire him when Bobby Richt retires.

Letting Bobo walk would be a huge mistake. Comparable OCs get paid about double what he currently does

If Bobo plays his cards right, he could probably get a better job 3-4 years down the road. He's starting to come into his own.

Exactly. I know there's quite a few Bobo haters on this board, but the fact of the matter is he's one of the more highly regarded assistants in the country. He's only getting better and can afford to be picky.

You know, I never understood this. I think Bobo was limited by Richt on what plays to call. If CMR would let Bobo do what he's paid to do, then I think you will see improving results. This year and last should be proof.

I don't either. We're producing at a seriously high level with Bobo, and he's instrumental in our recruiting efforts.

we need to run the ball better.

but you've got to give bobo credit for developing qbs and a passing scheme.

Richt would never hire someone who would change the offense dramatically. It's sort of his baby

I doubt we'd hire chad morris or something even though it'd be awesome

I'm a former Bobo hater but I mean I'll admit he's gotten better. That said I don't think he needs a raise. We gave Grantham a raise after one good season and now we are stuck paying that fat frick through the nose.

I'd rather go OC shopping and overpay one of those goons. At least get some of a staff changeup. But that all said Bobo ain't leaving.

He starts recruiting an OL worth a damn then I;ll wanna throw money at him

Not really the same situation. Bobo has had a few good years now. I'd much rather pay him $750k than pay an unknown even more. Also, our recruiting class would potentially fall to pieces, especially if we let Bobo go without even trying. I know some people will say that it doesn't matter, but it does.

That is not for Bobo's lack of trying. Pretty much all our OL recruits the last few years have been recruited by him or McClendon. Blame Friend.

Is it plausible that Bobo is contacted if James Franklin, Charlie Strong, or Jimbo take jobs else where whether it be NFL or college?

The only reason I don't actively root for it is recruiting. I know the class would evaporate or at least I figure it would. I just don't like the idea of giving Bobo a raise.

Especially after his gay arse took the pistol away from us. frick him for that. And that's not sarcasm, frick him for teasing it and taking it away like a petulant little shite.

I blame a lot of people including myself.

I guess my point is that you're not wrong in any of your points but it irks me that we have to give him a raise after years of me wanting to throw a brick at his head.

He just got a raise. Let him take his 8 kids to Statesboro.

I get that, but it's going to happen. We'll end up paying him market value, hopefully.

Obviously we fricked up with Grantham, but I feel like we kind of got caught up in the moment there of having a competent defense for once. We know what we have with Bobo.

Wouldn't it be ironic if he went to vandy and than beat the hell out of grantham's defense?

The sad part is that it would definitely happen. Bobo would destroy Grantham.

So..this isn't a troll thread? I don't see this as being a serious threat for him to leave as others have stated. For a guy like Bobo, I don't see how his current position at UGA isn't perfect for his expertise (developing pro-style QBs) and his family. I will be pissed/shocked if he takes the GSU job.
