Not true. Neil Calloway left to become UAB head coach.

Basically, considering that he has only had three DC, including the one now and 1 OC in the 12 years he has been at UGA, I don't see the point of this. I know some might not agree with me, but I am pretty sure that Bobo is likely to the successor at UGA should Richt decide to retire in the next few years. He has been groomed for it for a few years now. While Van Gorder did get HC at Southern, he really isn't the best personality for a college HC, neither is Grantham though he may get the chance to prove me wrong. Martinez proved unable to handle DC duties well, let alone HC responsibilities.

AJC's fact checking sucks.

Neil Callaway, Richt's first OC/OL coach at UGA, left to be the HC at UAB which is a non-AQ FBS school. Was he successful? No. But that's not what they said.

Richt has had a total of 5 Coordinators during his tenure at UGA; 3 on D and 2 on O. His first DC is a journeyman who never likes ro stay anywhere for too long, his 2nd one sucked balls and was promoted due to nepotism, and it's too early to tell what will become of Grantham. If he puts together a good D next year I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a HC offer or an NFL DC offer. If the offense performs like they should next year, then Bobo will be hired as a HC somewhere.

RD Dawg, agreed with 100%, Bobo is a DGD and deserves more money. The SECCG was Richty's fault Bobo was screaming for the spike. He's a quality OC, soon to be HC.

I could see Bobo essentially being HCIW, but I'd prefer to see Bobo cut his teeth as a HC before he takes over. This season really changed how I viewed Bobo, though.

If he goes back to calling draw plays on every 3rd and long or calling play action 12 times in a row without running the ball, then yes.

Fact of the matter remains that Bobo really opened up the playbook this year and showed some ingenuity. Hope he keeps it up.

I had zero complaints about Bobo this season. The offense was prepared to play. If our defense was better, we would have blown out most of our opponents. The SECCG was on CTG, not Bobo or even Richt, IMO.

And yet you are aware of the USC game and the Florida game. We were so good on offense.

Regarding Bobo, one thing I liked seeing, was even in the Bowl Game, he was running a few Wildcat plays and mixing it up pretty well. At least he's not doing the sprint draw every other play now.

Ill admit that for years my main issues with Georgia were they're lack of formational variety, their play calling, and the lack of any innovation or urgency. Bobo added the pistol, the hurry up, and his play calling has absolutely become more dynamic. We are taking advantage of mismatches but more importantly for once Georgia is playing to its own strengths and not just running richts/bobos offense.

That being said I'm DGD and I'm never happy. Despite a good year there were times in almost every game where our offense decided to go AWOL, whether it was ineffective play calling or just a lack of execution. That and I can't ignore his body of work. It's a rough road but bobo and I may be able to save this relationship after he showed he cared in 2012
