Losing the #1 Pick in the Draft and expect to be "much better" with less than stellar talent coming in to replace him. Believe what you want.

The young talent excise doesn't really work when the team isn't getting better

Texas was better the year after Durant left.
LSU was better the year after Simmons left.

It can definitely happen, and I think it will. I could be wrong, but I sure as hell hope I'm not

Yeah. Just nothing I am seeing gives me much confidence that we are on the cusp of a breakthrough. It’s just not good basketball, which is a bummer.

To be better without the #1 pick, players must improve not regress. Crean has showed nothing in 2 years to prove he could win at the JUCO level. He’s a horrible coach. Just awful.

It takes time and patience. Athens wasn't built in a day.

Anyone who disagrees with this hasn't watched the team play for the last month

It's not unusual for players to improve from their Fresh to Soph seasons. We will have 8 such players.

We need them to improve so much that they take us from last place.

That's usually the plan. We will still have 4 top 100 players next year w/o AE. They will all be sophomores which is still an under classmen. Some players take longer to develop. Hopefully it wont take them until their Junior years to click.
